WOW!!! Hats off to your knowledge. Every statement is a masterpiece.
By the way, the corrupt brahmins were never accused of spreading Hinduism, they infact kept it to themselves to exercise superiority and treating other Hindus as lower castes, so check your story again. Brahmins couldn't wipe out someone, they were just priests and never the ruling class.
Jehad is inline with Islam and Quran, but supremacy of castes is against Hindu texts. Lord Ram and Krishna were Kshatriyas (non-brahmins) and devil Ravan was a brahmin.
Good that you know Lord Buddha is a hindu god and Hindus and Buddhists are one and the same. These terms Hinduism and Buddhism were infact coined by islamic/christian invaders, who introduced the concept of different religions in Asia. Dharmic religions appreciate every honest attempt to seek God, even if it is different than yours. This is the reason why Hindus have so many Gods.
Jains are more pious Hindus who took non-violence to another level. They not only are vegetarian like Hindus, but eat only dormant plants. They walk barefooted to avoid killing even small insects. Jains are less because its a tough belief to follow, but their approach towards life is commendable. They are utterly respected as Gurus (masters) by Hindus.
Even your last statement is funny. Unlike Buddhism and Jainism, Sikkhism was the only religion that emerged from Hinduism due to disagreements with hindu beliefs. Fighting a war at night or where civilians live was prohibited in Hinduism. This is why muslims used to win every war against hindus. Some hindus adjusted the beliefs and formed a sect called Sikhs only to fight the invaders. Hindus definitely owe to them.
@Steel Boy I could not resist replying you.
Do you think every crime that happens in India or by a Hindu is due to Hinduism? If so then you are absolutely right in your allegations.
Ask any Indian whom do they consider their hero, devilish hindu king Pusyamitra who killed Buddhists or Ashoka, the great Emperor of India who dedicated his entire life to Buddhist ways. The wheel on Indian flag is dedicated To Ashoka and depicts non violence. Several bollywood films have been made on Ashoka, the pride of India.
Massacre of Sikhs was for political reasons. Power hungry Indira never even thought in favor of Hindus when she declared emrgency. When she ordered raid on Golden Temple for armaments, she was killed by Sikhs. Hence, the congress supporters killed Sikhs in revenge. It was a dark day in history of independent India but where is Hinduism in this?
That Jains were killed is a news to me, may be the other side of the world knows better.
Saying that hinduism promotes violence is like saying Mary wasn't virgin or Kaaba is somewhere in north pole. The first and last lesson of Hinduism is -- 'See God in every life form'.
I agree that there were animal sacrifices by people who had no control over taste buds and wanted to justify their act. Why are so many Hindu people vegetarians? Why do even the meat eater Hindus avoid meat on auspicious days? If the past was entirely opposite, whose culture are we following here in India? Ram wasn't just a hindu, he was God to decide birth, life and death. Moreover, he belonged to the warrior class.
Rather than coming up with facts and figures, talk to a few Hindus. They won't even share their philosophy until you urge or condemn them openly for their beliefs, forget getting gifts luring to convert you. No one wants to wipe you off, Hinduism aims for a happy world.
Also the link of blog you suggested is fanatic aiming at being different-- it says founder of Jainism ate flesh and Sanskrit is not the oldest language. Its a bit too intelligent than rest of the world.
