Conventional Buddhism states,
Prince Siddhartha's mother was Mahāmāyā and his aunt who nursed was Pajāpati.
Siddhattha later became Buddha

If we refer Pali/Sanskrit to English translations of these terms:

Siddhartha/siddhattha
= Siddha/sādhya (establishment, succeeded) + artha (meaning, purpose, self=definition)
= one who has accomplished his task; magician

Mahāmāyā
= Mahā (great) + Māyā/maya (magic, illusion, produced by, hypocritical)

Pajāpati
= Pajā (offspring, generation) + pati (master, owner)
= Lord of all created beings; A name given to Māra, because he uses his power over all creatures

Buddha
= having attained enlightenment, wise by knowledge of the truth
= superior to all other beings

Apparently the same Goddess, called Maia (Mary?) by the Greeks, was the virgin mother to Hermes (Jesus?) the Enlightened One, who had as many reincarnations as the Buddha.

Everything exists only with a polar opposite. No light without dark, no good without evil. You would have no understanding of what light is, unless there is something it can be compared to, darkness. Besides, Buddha was born to a man and a woman. He is not a god, he was not born from gods. He is simply a prince who pondered and discovered a great way of living.

I think you may be digging too deep into things. If you met a person that was the most fantastic, interesting, amazing person in the world and found their father's name was Satan Lucifer the Third would you judge that person because of that? Your mother may be named Athena but that doesn't mean she's wise. I believe all that matter's is the teaching. If you agree with it or not is your choice.

Yes, Mayadavi was the name of the mother of Prince Siddhartha. I don't really know why people give themselves that name.
