Question:
Attn. Christians!!!?
2007-01-30 14:08:40 UTC
Why is it that "Attn. Christians" always draws in the "non-believers?" It seems to me that their persistance shows some sort of interest, right? And why is it that they always get rude / mad? What is it proving? I've never, myself, clicked on anything that said, "Attn. Atheists" or "Attn. Non-Believers." I'm not trying to start a debate (even though I'm sure it will because, as you see, my question is labeled "Attn. Christians"). I'm just curious. Why can't we exclusively get Christian answers if the non-believers aren't interested in our spirituality?

The atheists can't help themselves because they belong to satan and not God.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I'm a Christian, however, this category is for Religion & Spirituality so you are going to have a "variety" of answers. Think about it this way, it's human nature to want to peek into an envelope that is addressed confidential. If you address your question as Attn. Christians!!!? It's going to be like setting a cookie jar on the counter in front of your twin girls (I read your 360-how beautiful). Sometimes, things are irresistable. Those that do not have the power of God with them, do not have the strength to overcome. They judge when they should not. They cast stones. Maybe someday Yahoo will create a site(s) specifically designed for religion(s) and that will eliminate much of the chaos. For now, however, ask the questions that you wish to ask. You will receive answers from all sides. Remember, you have the gift of discernment and can sift through them.

To be fair, sometimes these headings have nothing to do with the real question being asked. Anyone can answer any question and we shouldn't expect or hope for one-sided responses. You just never know when someone, believer or non, might actually think again about God.

May God Bless you.

For one christians talk about non christians behind thier backs, then say rude comments such as this, what do you expect non christians to do, turn a blind eye to what christians do and say to them? then christians become a bigger problem than they already are, PS you are not spiritual, you just like to use the word

because it makes you feel special, youre not fooling anyone.

Another thing is, christians dont own this forum, if you want a christian only site, go to one, but Y!A is for everyone, not just christians. what a snob.

There could be a variety of reasons because there are a variety of people in this world. Some from good motives, some from bad motives and others out of curiosity.

I like to place the most favorable construction on the motives and acts of others.

Deep, inner longing for God. Irrepressible desire for something good. Craving for true love and goodness such as expressed in the character of Jesus Christ.

I have found that, despite the fact that a question specifically asks for Christians to answer, I often also have an answer if not the answer.

Mostly, I do it to find out what kind of whacked out question this person is asking, or if they are making an assumption by asking specifically for one group over another. It's the psychology that fascinates me. I don't generally check them out with the specific intention of answering.

And I am quite interested in religion, though I don't follow it. Like I said, the psychology is fascinating.

A challenging question. The Almighty YHVH offers mankind perfection through the Savior YAHOSHUA! If people choose not to accept it, they somehow have to justify their position in their own minds even though their position is unjustifiable.

Have you considered asking at a non-public Christian-only site?

there are people who rants and raves in every situation. I know that as a Christian, i personally don't see it as wrong or right, I just look at it as if people are entitled to their own beliefs. I won't go preaching or saying that they're wrong. I just don't let anyone put pressure on me and pray for those who tries to.

This is a very good question and deserves a star!! I wish I had an answer. But it seems your question is directed at the non-believers. So, I leave it to them to answer this one.

Maybe a lot of non-Christians are tired of the way Christians think that they can run everything by their own rules.....

It's good that they follow us to where we are at. That gives God the opportunity to work in their lives without them even knowing it. Use that opportunity to your advantage and glorify God with it. =) Yes, it can be frustrating at times. but, try and remember. God loves them as much as He loves you!

curiosity, probably--that's why I click on "athiests/non-believers only" questions & I somtimes answer them. I find it hard to believe that there's anyone here who hasn't done the same thing.

Atheists are afraid of us, its insecurity with them. They are terrified that we are right so they persist in asking us questions about God and asking us to provide proof of his existence..They try to trigger a response by insulting us sometimes..

Freedom of opinion and entitled to speak out. Limits are always overcome as far as people are concerned. if you've ever told a kid not to touch the cookie jar, they'll look at it with full intention to touch what they aren't supposed to and then touch it when you're not looking.

8thE's are people who, deep down inside, want to beleive in this saviour of mankind, but are bitter for one thing or another. So they try to dismiss him as much as possible, only to find out in the end that they needed him all their lives.
