Question:
Big Crunch Will End this World and Universe ?

n physical cosmology, the Big Crunch is one possible scenario for the ultimate fate of the universe, in which the metric expansion of space eventually reverses and the universe recollapses, ultimately ending as a black hole singularity.

Some theorize that the universe could collapse to the state where it began and then initiate another Big Bang, so in this way the universe would last forever, but would pass through phases of expansion (Big Bang) and contraction (Big Crunch)[2]

The universe is thought to be open. It will expand forever and become very cold.

"ultimately ending as a black hole singularity."

That's not the suggested outcome of the Big Crunch, as any 'crunched' singularisation of spacetime itself would not permit a black hole to exist. There would be no space in which to have a Schwarzchild radius.

As yet, the Big Crunch idea is just a hypothesis, and lacks any evidence to validate it. We don't know the critical density of the universe, hence we don't know if it's above or below the threshold for this to happen. The present indications are that expansion will continue, but that's not definitive.

Not sure about the crunch but I think there will be another big bang and there were big bangs before the one that created this universe. In other words the process is repetitive. There are galaxies in other universes that expanded out too.

The universe is flat. The Big Crunch can only work in a closed universe. Our universe will continuously expand forever.

The universe is not expanding according to the scientific explanation of the Bible. There is an end of the universe. Psalms 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. It is not an ordinary fire that will burn the earth & heaven. 2Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

the big crunch is no longer seriously considered a possibility... the universe's rate of expansion is ACCELERATING, not slowing to a stop and eventual reversal.

That is one hypothesis, yes, though it won't end this world; Earth will have already been consumed by the Sun, in about 4.5 billion years, after it goes nova and expands to a red giant.

There is evidence for the oscillation thing you just said, but not enough evidence yet to conclude anything!!!

The Bible declares that on October 21 2011 the anwer to your question will be demonstrated when he casts this world and the entire creation into the "Lake of Fire".

Fact: You can study how the Bible declares "WE CAN KNOW" at the websites below.

Fact: Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
