Not sure if this is Genesis or Exodus, but God purposely made it so the pharaoh would not allow the jews to leave Egypt, just so God could have the sick pleasure of forcing the Egyptians through another illness, all while the jews were needlessly suffering. God also mislead Moses and it took FAR longer than necessary to return to Israel.
