Jehovah's Witnesses are different from *church* 'Christianity', not *true* Christianity.

This is due to the fact --attested to in God's Word, the Bible-- that Christ Jesus himself was -and still is- the *foremost* of Jehovah's witnesses. Please notice what it says:

"You are my Witnesses", is the utterance of Jehovah, ". . . that I am God".---Isaiah 43:10-12

"Look! *As a witness to the national groups* I have given him,

as a leader and commander to the national groups."---Isaiah 55:4

"In the sight of God . . . and of *Christ Jesus, who as a witness* made the fine public declaration . . ." ---1 Timothy 6:13a

". . . For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world,

that I should bear witness to the truth. . . .”---John 18:37b

"Jesus Christ, *the Faithful Witness,* 'The firstborn from the dead'. . ."---Revelation 1:5

". . . *YOU, in turn, ARE to BEAR WITNESS.*. . ."---John 15:27

"These are the things that the Amen says, *the faithful and true witness*,

the beginning of the creation by God."---Revelation 3:14b

The Bible also shows the great difference between those who are true followers of Christ, and those many who think & claim that they are, but whom Christ does not accept as his followers:

"Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works* in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I *NEVER KNEW* You! *GET AWAY FROM ME, You workers of lawlessness."---Matthew 7:22, 23

"For *FALSE* Christs and *FALSE* prophets will arise and will give signs and wonders

*to lead astray,* if possible, the chosen ones. You, then, *WATCH OUT*. . . ."---Mark 13:22, 23

"Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey through

the *PHILOSOPHY and EMPTY DECEPTION according to TRADITION of MEN*

. . . not according to Christ."---Colossians 2:8

". . . There will . . . be *FALSE teachers* among You. These very ones will quietly bring in *DESTRUCTIVE SECTS* . . . Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. Also, with covetousness *THEY WILL EXPLOIT You with COUNTERFEIT WORDS.* . . . ."---2 Peter 2:1-3

Jesus told the apostate Jewish religious leaders of that time what also applies to the ministers of apostate Christianity:

"You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about You, when he said, ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. It is *IN VAIN* that they keep worshiping . . . because *THEY TEACH COMMANDS of MEN* as DOCTRINES.’"---Matthew 15:7-9

"Letting go the commandment of God, YOU HOLD FAST the *TRADITION OF MEN*."---Mark 7:8, 9

So, both the teachings -&- the practices of the Christian Witnesses of Jehovah God

*differ greatly* from those of 'church Christianity' . . .

Apart from what is mainstream as deemed Christianity.

Jehovah's Witnesses have never fired one single bullet against another brother who calls themself a Christian or either any enemy at war including the First and Second or ANY other wars before or after.

Jesus Christ taught his true followers; love your neighbour and enemy - never had he taught once that this love was to harm them. The Bible teaches that our true enemies are not fleshly; world nations may have political strifes, but a true Christian is a person of spiritual discernment who does not hate fellow humans so as to kill them because their nation demands it of them. (Ephesians 6:12)

Jesus Christ himself identified hisTRUE followers by the love they had among themselves. (John 13:25) That true love is to not even harm an enemy even because their national flag differs from yours.

In the Bible, Jesus identified his true disciples not by what church you were from; how many you were part of; how rich or worldly influencial your faith was but for one single sentence he said in John 13:25 of "having love among yourselves".

Your homework is to examine who has shown that love Jesus commanded and to obey his command in Matthew 24:14 to preach the good news of the kingdom.

Being a Christian is not a mere badge to be worn but a continual effort to prove yourselves worthy each day by practising what a follower of Christ is.

Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians. In case you're not aware of what that term means. It's someone who believes in the teachings of Christ and follows it even when it's not convenient or popular in the world we live in.

The real question you might mean is, "What is the difference between Jehovah's Witnesses and the typical religions in the world that CALL themselves Christians?" because now we're talking about a a whole other subject with layers and layers of hypocricy in the religions of the world.

Many dictionaries define "Christian" as someone who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or who follows the religion based on his life and teachings.

Jehovah's Witnesses DO believe in Jesus and follow his teachings. They believe that Jesus is extremely important...in fact they believe that he is the second most important person in the universe next to God Himself.

Jesus—Who Was He? Why He Is So Important

http://www.watchtower.org/e/200612/article_02.htm

So yes, by every *genuine* definition, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians. Even disinterested theologians and secular dictionaries acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.

The reason that some falsely accuse Jehovah's Witnesses of not being Christians is because these critics use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that Jesus is God Himself. Rather, they believe just as the Bible describes Jesus - as the "Son *OF* God".

Nowhere in the Bible is it mentioned that Jesus ever claimed to be God. Rather, he specifically called the "Father...the only true God." (John 17:1-3; Also see John 20:17; 2 Corinthians 1:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:6)

Here are a few beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses that set them apart as different from other religions.

(1) Bible: Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.

(2) God: They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually identified as belonging to the one group—“Jehovah’s Witnesses.”

(3) Jesus Christ: They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of God’s creations; that he had a prehuman existence and that his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914.

(4) God’s Kingdom: They believe that God’s Kingdom is the only hope for mankind; that it is a real government; that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.

(5) Heavenly life: They believe that 144,000 spirit-anointed Christians will share with Christ in his heavenly Kingdom, ruling as kings with him. They do not believe that heaven is the reward for everyone who is “good.”

(6) The earth: They believe that God’s original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled; that the earth will be completely populated by worshipers of Jehovah and that these will be able to enjoy eternal life in human perfection; that even the dead will be raised to an opportunity to share in these blessings.

(7) Death: They believe that the dead are conscious of absolutely nothing; that they are experiencing neither pain nor pleasure in some spirit realm; that they do not exist except in God’s memory, so hope for their future life lies in a resurrection from the dead.

(8) Last days: They believe that we are living now, since 1914, in the last days of this wicked system of things; that some who saw the events of 1914 will also see the complete destruction of the present wicked world; that lovers of righteousness will survive into a cleansed earth.

(9) Separate from the world: They earnestly endeavor to be no part of the world, as Jesus said would be true of his followers. They show genuine Christian love for their neighbors, but they do not share in the politics or the wars of any nation. They provide for the material needs of their families but shun the world’s avid pursuit of material things and personal fame and its excessive indulgence in pleasure.

(10) Apply Bible counsel: They believe that it is important to apply the counsel of God’s Word in everyday life now—at home, in school, in business, in their congregation. Regardless of a person’s past way of life, he may become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses if he abandons practices condemned by God’s Word and applies its godly counsel. But if anyone thereafter makes a practice of adultery, fornication, homosexuality, drug abuse, drunkenness, lying, or stealing, he will be disfellowshipped from the organization.

(The above list briefly states some outstanding beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses but by no means all the points on which their beliefs are different from those of other groups.)

What makes Jehovah's Witnesses different from Christians?

Nothing, since JW's are Christians.

What makes Jehovah's Witnesses different from nominal Christians?

The bible describes the religious harlot as Babylon the Great.

What were example of beliefs from Babylon?

Trinities

Immortality of the soul

Hell fire

creature worship.

All of these beliefs are rejected by the God of the Bible.

Contrasting Pharoah, who was worshiped as the son of God, in a trinity, as God incarnate in the flesh. Deut 6:4 states that Jehovah is one.

Satan said that Adam and Eve wouldn't die if they disobeyed God. Ez 18:4 tells us that the soul dies.

The bible tells us that the punishment of sin is death, and that the dead know nothing. Eccl 9:4-10

By making the man Jesus God, they have made man equal to God and are worshipping a creature.

Rom 1:22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

Paul tells us we are under the law of Christ, and if we disobey Christ's law there is no salvation.

2 Thess 1:8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Philippians 2:12

So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;

Notice what Jesus said:

John 3:36

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

There is nothing that makes Jehovah's Witnesses different from Christians.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.

Their beliefs are based solidly on the Bible, and their Leader is the Lord Jesus Christ.

We have to compare Jehovah's Witnesses with Christianity as outlined in the Bible, not by others who claim to be Christians.

We are different because we follow Gods Word the Bible and remain no part of the world. We are by far not perfect because no one is perfect so dont think that we think we are. Yes there are many things we dont believe or celebrate because they are not Bible supported, like Christmas.

We are Christians.

Jesus said one would be able to identify true Christians by the self sacrificing love they would have for one another. (John 13:34, 35 & 15:12, 13)

We are willing to go to prison or even die rather than kill fellow believers or anyone else who lives in another nation during time of war.

What other group can honestly say that?

==============================

ADDED @ Ray:

For everything Ray said, I would ask that everyone reading this ask Jehovah's Witnesses personally about any and all of those points, and to show the answer from YOUR OWN personal copy of the Bible.

I will answer one lie, though. Ray said: "Christians are mentioned in the Bible, the words "Jehovah's Witness" or even "Jehovah Witness" are not together any where in the Bible, nor in their Bible either."

TRUE: Christians are mentioned in the Bible, but so are Jehovah's Witnesses. Those who do God's will are servants, his witnesses. Note this quote, not from "our" Bible as he calls it (we use a multitude of Bibles) but from the 1901 American Standard Version of Isaiah 43:10-12 -

"Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.

I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed; and there was no strange [god] among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and I am God."

This was originally spoken to the nation of Israel. In the fleshly sense Jesus was of that nation, so he too was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and we are to follow his steps carefully. (1 Peter 2:21; John 13:15)

Additionally, Jesus is called "the Faithful and True Witness." (Revelation 1:5; 3:14)

Of what was he a witness? Many things, including God's Kingdom, but most importantly God's Name. (Matthew 6:9, 10; John 17:6, 26)

And according to the 1611 & 1769 KJV, we read in Psalm 83:18 - "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."

Christians follow Jesus

Witnesses follow the Governing Body who claim to be following Jesus but are not
?
2012-08-03 02:12:01 UTC
The biggest is probably their lack of belief in the Holy Trinity.

They definitely are not a Christian religion. While they use a lot of the same information, their Governing Body of Elders has reached very different conclusions. They take what they like from the Old Testament and twisted it toward a form of social control. Members of the Jehovah's Witnesses are not allowed to "associate" with non-believer.

What a strange and amazing coincidence that their Jehovah God wants exactly the same thing as the Governing Body of Elders. Lots of wealth, temporal power, and the ability to command others.

Jehovah's Witnesses are just your everyday, homegrown American cult.

Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians. What makes us different fro other Christian denominations is that we are obedient to his final command before his resurrection to heaven to GO and make disciples. Others are not.

Greetings,

Actually Christians would not disagree with any beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses. This is because only Jehovah's Witnesses as a group give evidence that they meet the requirements of being true Christians.

When you compare religions who all claim to be Christian you must use Scriptural evidence to identify the true Christians. These evidences are not complicated. The basic criteria would be that as a group this "congregation" would be imitating Christ in actions and belief (1Pt.2:21; Jn.13:14-15; Mt.16:24).

Scriptures say true worshipers could be identified in at least three main ways: Love, Truth (Jn.4:23; 17:17), and Fruitage (Mt.7:16ff). Conversely, by these we can also identify the false.

The True religion would be primarily known for it's love toward all (Jn.13:34,35; 1Jn.3:10-12; 4:7, 8). This would include their enemies (Mat.5:44-48; Rom.12:17-20; 1Pet.2:21-23; 3:8- 9). It would not participate in or condone carnal war (2Cor.10:3,4; Isa.2:4).

Apply this basic evidence to what happened in both world wars and current conflicts. People of the same religions met on battlefields and slaughtered one another because of nationalistic differences. Each side claimed to be Christian, and each side was supported by its clergy, who claimed that God was on their side. The definition of a "Christian" is "one who does what Christ would do": WWJD (1 Pet.2:21). That slaughter of "Christian" by "Christian" is rotten fruitage. It is a denial of any claim to being the true Church (cf. Mat.26:52). No Christian would continue to associate with these religions (Rev.18:4).

Ninety-nine percent of all religions can be rejected as imitation Christians by this simple Biblical identification. Looking at the results or "fruit" of the various religions adds to the obvious differentiation between True and false Christianity (Mt.7:19,20 ).

Only Jehovah's Witnesses meet this basic requirement and have never participated in warfare.

Another evidence is that the true religion would be made up of people who would all be in agreement on doctrine. It would not have members who believe differently on abortion, war, homosexuality or morals. Its members would not "agree to disagree" (1Cor.1:10; 2Cor.13:11; Phil.1:27). True Christians would be separated from the world by "truth" from God's Word the Bible (Jn.17:17; 4:23). All its teachings would be based on the Bible (2Tim.3:14-16; Gal.1:8, 9).

The true religion also would have a reputation for promoting exceptional morality in its members (1Cor.6:9,10; Eph.5:3-5; 2Pt.3:14; 2Cor.7:1; 2Tim.3:5). Does a religion *require* their congregation members to live moral lives, not allowing practicers of homosexuality, fornication, or adultery to be accepted members of their congregation? Or do they turn a blind eye? If so, their "fruitage" would show they are not true Christians.

True Christians would be associated with God's name: (Jn.17:3,6,26; Acts 15:14/Isa.55:5; 1 Peter 2:9/Ex.19:4- 5; Ps.83:18). They would not use Bibles which have removed the Most Holy Divine Name of God. Replacing the Divine Name with the common noun "Lord" cannot be justified by any translational principles so it is a blatant "subtraction" from God's word which brings a curse on anyone who approves it (Rev.22:18).

The true Church would be engaged in an unprecedented teaching activity (Matthew 24:14, 28:19, 20). Witnesses right now are performing the greatest Bible education work ever done in all human history!

There are more scripture evidences, however these are plenty to show which religion meets the requirements of being the True religion.

Imitation Christianity has neither the spiritual strength nor the support of God's holy spirit to motivate people to follow the truthful teachings of Jesus Christ. For this reason, the result in Christendom is not true Christianity but counterfeit believers, "weeds" unfit for the Kingdom.-Mat13:24ff.

When you examine most religions you find that they cannot meet any of the other requirements of true Christianity. Their historical record is of bloodthirsty wars, immorality, sectarian violence and factional splits (Mat.7:21- 23; 2Tim3:5; Gal.5:19-23). Today Catholics continue to kill Catholics, Protestants kill Protestants, and Mormons kill Mormons, something true Christians would not do (1Jn.3:10,15; 4:8). Our hearts tell us that any religion who is willing to shoot their own members in warfare cannot possibly be trusted to teach Biblical truth.

I have found only one group which has presented absolute evidence of truly being Christian: Jehovah's Witnesses. This is the testimony of the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 6:9-11; Gal.5:19-22).

To read lung boy's response- one would think his talking about Muslims.

Such ignorance is nothing new because Jehovah's Witnesses do believe in the Bible. They take it very serious, apparently some do not.

One of the reasons for this local madness is the fact that the Witnesses do not subscribe to a trinity of any sort when it comes to worship. When Jesus was on earth he asked his disciples this question...

In Matthew 16 13.. it says  Now when he had come into the parts of Caes·a·re′a Phi·lip′pi, Jesus went asking his disciples: “Who are men saying the Son of man is?”  They said: “Some say John the Baptist, others E·li′jah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”  He said to them: “YOU, though, who do YOU say I am?”  In answer Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo′nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my Father who is in the heavens did.

Jesus asked them, and they answered correctly- there is No way that any of the disciples or the people in general viewed Jesus as the Creator... None.

In Isaiah 9:6 it says of Jesus " : “There has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder."

Common sense would tell someone that God was never a child, also how can God have " princely rule bestowed upon him".. no one is Higher than God, what does it mean that rule is given him?

The logical answer is that Jesus has someone who is HIGHER than himself, namely the Father. Jesus himself said " All Authority has been given me".( Matt 28:18). once again- rule is given to Jesus, to somehow translate that to mean Jesus is God is ridiculous.

The Watchtower Society used to teach that the pyramids were from God and actually claimed that the great pyramid was a "Bible in stone." Using Pyramidology, the date of 1914 was first arrived at by the measurement in inches along a passageway of the great pyramid, that even turned out to be a wrong measurement. Even though it is the wrong date, they still use it.

The Watchtower organization now teaches that Pyramidology is the work of Satan, therefore in their own words they have admitted that they taught the work of Satan as the work of God. Do you know of any Christian organization that does that?

For some time they even had the winged disk of Baal on the cover of the Watchtower magazine.

They blame bad light for their “Old truths” and need “new Light” to see the the new truths that are often then reverted to the “Old Truths” anyway.

I know I would never trust my eternity to an organization that taught the works of Satan as God’s works. Then they tell us that Christ approved of them teaching how to follow Satan???

We (Jehovah's Witnesses) are Christians....

so the question really is:

What makes Jehovah's Witnesses different ""from other Christians?""

But, it is your question, not mine.

________________________________________________________________

There are many differences, but as a start, of what makes us different from others:

We adhere strictly to the Bible, as it is God's inerrant word. 2Tim 3:16,17; 2Pet 1:20,21; Col 2;8.

For all of mankind.

We live, what we learn from the Bible.

Apply it, Use it in our life, everyday.

We DO just as Jesus commanded of his followers, to

"Go, and teach, making disciples of all nations."

~Matt 10:24, 24:14, 28:19.

We love our neighbors, as we love ourselves.

Obey human laws that do not conflict with God's laws.

We reject all un-Biblical doctrines.

~2Tim 3:16,17; 2Pet 1:20,21; John 17:17.

i.e. the trinity lie., the soul is immortal,

We are real true Christians as those in the 1st century were. Not like what passes today. Our beliefs come solely from the Bible itself by allowing the Bible to interpret itself.

False Christians have abandoned the Bible decades, centuries ago. Research the main doctrines and you will find most all of them come stolen from pagan religions. Done in an effort to gain members from defeated wars and ordered to convert or the sword on their necks would slice them into giblets. Stealing pagan doctrines made it easier for the defeated converts to stomach. Such things as trinity, hellfire and immortal soul was never part of Biblical teachings. All had pagan origins.

True Christians go only by the Bible's true teachings. Such as Jesus' words in prayer to his Father in heaven at John 17:3, 6 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. ....6 “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world."

Notice knowledge of both God and the lesser one who is sent, Jesus Christ is needed for eternal life. See too that Jesus made his Father's name known to all people. That name is found at Psalms 83:18. "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth." It is not a title nor Jesus, but is a personal name of Jehovah [in English].

We do just as Jesus ordered done at Matthew 24:14; 28:19-20. We are to preach, teach and warn with our message that only God's Kingdom heavenly government will bring true peace and happiness by first destroying all of Satan's organization from the earth. Then solving all the problems that threaten to end us all. Only it has the wisdom, desire, power to do so. None of Satan's political, military or false religious powers have any of those qualities to solve anything. False Christendom included.

We are the only ones obeying Jesus in this work. We obey him in all things as well.

For example: At John 13:34-35 Jesus ordered, "I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. 35 By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”

This forbids harming one another. Which means no participation in any of the world's wars or racism, nationalism nor tribalism. There are members of all religions in almost all countries. In war, no one wears signs saying what religion they are. The same is true for race. nation and tribes especially in Africa where millions are slaughtered tribe versus tribe. So who is obeying Jesus today? Does your religion? Jehovah's Witnesses do.

How about 1 Corinthians 1:10? "Now I exhort YOU, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that YOU should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among YOU, but that YOU may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought. "

Have you ever been to 2 churches with the same name out front that taught the same things without denominations nor divisions? No. Not even in the South where churches are only less than 5 miles apart. Yet world wide, go to any Kingdom Hall and you will find them teaching the same things the same way as in your home town. All answers to questions are answered with the Bible itself. Not our own opinions or quotes from some recent book by a friend of the preacher. We do not have any divisions. Not even clergy-laity ones. We have no clergy. We are all ministers just as in the 1st century established by Jesus.

You asked, "What makes Jehovah's witnesses different from Christians?" True Christians we are. False Christians we are NOT. I did answer the question.

Christians would not disagree with any beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses... because they are the only true Christians? I nearly did myself an injury falling off my kitchen stool when I read that. Now I'e picked myself up from the floor, here are some of the doctrinal issues that make Jehovah's Witnesses different from Christians:

JW’s believe Jehovah created Jesus as Michael, the Archangel

Christians believe Jesus was never created – he is the second person of the Godhead

JW’s believe the holy spirit is Jehovah’s active force, or energy

Christians believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead

JW’s believe Jesus’ physical body disappeared – he was resurrected as a spirit creature

Christians believe Jesus was resurrected with a glorified physical body, fit for heaven

JW’s believe Jesus died to atone only for the sin of Adam

Christians believe Jesus died to atone for the sin of all humanity

JW’s believe death pays the penalty for your own, personal sin

Christians believe only faith in Christ Jesus can pay the penalty for sin

JW’s believe Jesus’ second coming happened invisibly in 1914

Christians believe Jesus’ second coming is still future and every eye will see him return

JW’s believe only 144,000 persons since the time of Jesus can go to heaven

Christians believe heaven is not restricted to a mere 144,000 persons

JW’s believe there is no such thing as a place of eternal torment

Christians believe eternal torment is real and reserved for Satan, the demons and the lost

JW’s believe in soul sleep or soul annihilation, when you’re dead you know/feel nothing

Christians believe the soul continues to exist after death and the spirit returns to God

JW’s believe Jesus is subordinate to Jehovah and must not be worshipped

Christians believe Jesus is co-eternal & co-equal with the Father and must be worshipped

JW’s believe they were chosen as God’s sole channel of communication in 1919

Christians believe the Holy Spirit is active in the life of all believers, not just in one group

JW’s believe to be saved and survive Armageddon you must belong to their organisation

Christians believe that salvation comes only through repentance and in Jesus’ shed blood

Hi Miss,

I'd like you to read the answer from Kraven the hunter. . His answer is 100% correct yet the JW'S gave him down thumbs. Why do the JW'S do this...it's because this person must be an EX-JW. Many JW'S will down thumb even the truth if it exposes them in some way. They are a cult and are under the control of the GB at the WTBTS. They will fight against this reality and say they are the only true religion. They outright hate the rest of the Christian world and their publications condemn Christendom to destruction , and they look forward to the day when Jehovah will wipe out all other people except the JW'S. And even with all this hate toward their fellow humans, they claim to be the most loving peaceful people on Earth today. As an EX-JW myself, this never made sense to me. I now know they are a false group with connections to the occult. They are what Jesus called wolves in sheep's clothing. Appearing to be righteous yet they are ravenous wolves. Caution is strongly advised.

Hi Mr. Cal,

If you really believe that the Bible is the true word of God, then why did the WTBTS print their own altered version of the Bible. You can't lie here and get away with it. If it was God's and you believe all of it, then why change it???? And why change it to fit your dogma. Why remove scripture from it, and why add to it. You know this the command from God was not to alter it. Yet this is exactly what the JW'S have done. And by uneducated men to boot.

Hi Smiling,

You claim to be loving and you claim that JW'S don't get involved in war, yet Judge Joe Rutherford sided with Hitler against the jews before the war broke out. No need to fire bullets when you have someone like Hitler to do your bidding. The Jw's partice replacement theology wich means they believe that God has outright rejected the physical nation of Israel. Of course there's plenty of scriptures that say otherwise yet the JW'S believe this false doctrine. So in this false hood gave the OK to Hitler and attempted to cozy up to him before he placed many JW'S in the same concentration camps with the Jews. Rutherford's attemp to side with Hitler back fired and many JW'S lost their lives. The ever changing rules put forth by the WTBTS has cause many many people to die needlessly over the years. Either through their confusion on blood transfusions or political cards that could have been issueed in Malawi like they did in Mexico. Thousands were tortured and died in malawi due to this. Again no need to shoot people when your edicts kill people, and just because policies are different depending on which country you live in. Is this the love and unity they claim is from God??? I wonder, and so should you!

Hi Ray,

Great answer!!! Honest and good points made.

Hi Farrah,

You follow the NWT bible, not a real Bible. The NWT is a psuedo bible that has been altered and printed by and for the JW'S. It was altered so the WTBTS dogma could be promoted as gospel...which it isn't. It's a fraud Bible...nothing more and a whole lot less. You need to understand this fact!

I am a Christian.

One, Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christians.

Two, Christians are mentioned in the Bible, the words "Jehovah's Witness" or even "Jehovah Witness" are not together any where in the Bible, nor in their Bible either.

Three: Jehovah's Witnesses are antichrists. Christian are not. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the deity of Christ. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus Christ was a good man or an archangel. The Bible states that those that do not believe in the deity of Christ are deceivers and antichrists. Christians believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that Jesus Christ is God.

Four: Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus was a created being of God, The Father. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is deity equal to God, The Father, and has always been with God, The Father.

Five: Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the concept of hell but teach "soul sleeping." The Jehovahs' Witnesses believe in death you are complete anniliated and one soul sleeps in Jehovah's mind. Then at some point in time, Jehovah's will resurrect the righteous from His memory. The wicked will stay in Jehovah's memory. Christians believe hell exists since Jesus preached on the subject of hell more than any other subject.

Six: The Jehovah's Witness do not follow the Bible. The Jehovah's Witness source for truth is the Watchtower Society. The Christian source of truth is God in heaven as recorded in the Holy Bible.

Seven: The Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Christ came invisibly in 1914. Christians know that Christ has not returned.

Eight: The Jehovah's Witnesses believe only 144,000 will go to heaven. Although, who the 144,000 has already changed since the last of the 1914 144,000 had died. Christians believe that those who will do God's will go to heaven regardless of the number.

Nine: Jehovah's Witness is a haven for pedaphiles. Search online for the Candace Conti case. Even the founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Charles Taze Russell, was charged as a pedaphile by his wife. Christians do not hide pedaphiles. Pedaphilism is against the law of the land and Christians will turn them in. Jehovah's Witnesses will not do so.

Ten: Jehovah's Witnesses will harbor and protect wife beaters. In a recent February edition of the Awake! magazine, the Jehovah's Witnesses but forward of a example of a holy wife. It was writtent that this wife took beatings from her husband for seventeen years. After seventeen years, the husband finally came to the understanding he should not beat his wife! The Jehovah's Witness believes this to be an outstanding example of a Christian wife. Christians will turn wife beaters over to the law. Christians are not law breakers. It is against to law to beat your wives.

Christians follow Jesus Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses feel that Jesus was just delivering a message for Jehovah, while important, everything he did was as proxy for Jehovah.

They are going to freak out that you mentioned them separate from the rest of Christianity. They not only view themselves as Christians, but that they are the ONLY Christians in the world. All other religions are following Satan and can't claim Christianity.

It's okay though, Christians think Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult.

Different beliefs. Although, they are a denomination of Christianity, I believe.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in the trinity or that Jesus is God. They also have their own bible translation called the 'New World Translation' which has basically been fitted for their beliefs.

Too many things to answer in this forum. Some being: They deny Jesus is God. They have predicted the "end of the world countless times, all wrong, they believe they can and must work their way into heaven. I could go on and on but I'm sure others will fill in my blanks.

They don't believe that Jesus Christ was the one true God. They don't believe he always exhisted. They don't recognize Paul's ministry that we are no longer under the "Law" but under grace. They don't believe in the security of the believer. They believe their organization has the power to cast someone out of their church and thus out of the possibility of heaven. They don't believe in Paul's gospel that "faith in the death, burial and resurrection plus nothing gets you salvation.
