Question:
Is it possible that God is ALWAYS in control and its our minds that are not in control?

Do you think no matter how much we abhor hardships, wars, hate, crime, They indeed provide us a reason to look within. A reason to know thyself. A reason to learn.
Do we control our minds or do our minds control us? How can minds regain the control? How can we respect patience? How can know what is in our interest as humans really? How can we turn earth into heaven rather then waiting for heaven? How can you contribute?

Thanks so much for answering. Peace, Love and Blessings!

This explanation might help: "Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires, but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness." (Romans chapter 8 verses 5-11)

The anbtiChrist will be such a person, one who can talk a good talk, but the Bible says will lead people astray. I know men of the supposed cloth who have lived far below Jesus' standards, but it is said the teachers will be judged more harshly, for they have taught others. The Levites necessitated the arrival of God as man, Jesus, because their actions belied their words...which is why the word Hypocrite was used 19 times in the Bible--and each time by Jesus. Hypocrites say one thing and do an entirely other. The Levites, as we learn in Chapter 34 of Ezekiel, did not obey the Lord, they were narcissistic, wanting their own glories and not God's. There is one and only one totally reliable source--The Bible, God's word. I wish my wife, whom I had thought to be a Christian woman, had been as she professed to be. I learned only after I had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit how that was a woman of the flesh, a woman who followed darkness and strayed from light...a woman who claimed she was wandering in the wilderness, yet when she heard God's word, dismissed it. She had no conscience with the things she did, so she could not accept the blames, the blemishes. She was disobedient, and her actions in the end--pill addict, alcoholic, liar, false witness,,,came back to haunt me because I had not paid attention to the Be-Attitudes. Circumcision was to be of the foreskin of the heart as far back as Deuteronomy. Circumcision of the skin was just a sign of acceptance of the Abramic covenant, but if the covenant/relationship, was to have changed, then the new sign was to, as well...and in Ezekiel 34, God tells the prophet clearly that one will not be judged as blessed merely by being one of the flock. When He comes down, He said, each one would be judged for him or herself. The need for a sign of acceptance was a pure heart, a contrite heart, a sharp mind and the willingness to do duty to the Lord. It is for that reason I truly respect those who honor the Lord with their actions...they are more than qualified. The thing about Judaism is NOT ALL MYTH, though...the myth comes when those who were supposed to remain loyal to God strayed, and taught that their system was the right way, even when God told so many, many prophets this was not to be the case...their disobedience was to lead to the end of the Levitical priesthood, as Hebrews says. A perfect sacrifice--the Paschal Lamb-- a perfect priest ala Melchizedek--God Himself incarnate--was what was needed.

I am the God of My World. I allow God within me but it's not like I would ever BLOCK Him or refuse admittance. God comes and goes as He chooses ... I allow Him free will just as He allows ME free will.

My mind is something totally different. My mind rebuilds my body and controls my bodily functions, breathing eating sleeping etc. My soul controls my mind. God's will controls my soul.

Once you find balance and no longer fear anything, no longer hate, no longer love, no longer seek anything other than balance, you find total balance. You absorb love ... you no longer recognize fear or any negatives, you merely exist in perfect harmony and you have compassion for all including yourself. There is no control there is only balance.

Once you can exist in one place, and see everything happening around you, and see everything but not be affected by anything, and ignore negativity and absorb positivity but not have any emotions about it one way or another ... you have achieved the state of Heaven.

Peace, Love, and Light!

It's *possible* -- but not at all plausible.

There's no evidence of any kind to show that any "god" of any kind controls anything...so you can speculate all you want to, but without any evidence, it's just meaningless speculation.

As to the issue of "mind" controlling body -- clearly your brain controls a myriad of functions in your body without you having to consciously think about controlling those things. Heart beat, breathing, digestion, chemical balance, blood volume, nerve responses, all of your senses, and on and on -- your brain controls these things without your conscious thought. Consciousness is only a very small portion of your brain's function -- and the simple fact is that you could *live* without your consciousness (people in comas do it all the time), but you can't live without the parts of your brain that operate your body seperate from consciousness (what you seem to be calling your "mind").

Peace.

Yes, God is always in control, when we allow Him to be. Again, we are here to learn. As long as we live for God's purpose for us, we have a veil of protection to help us get through everything in life.

God controls my mind. He lets me know everything I need to know, for myself and serving others. I rely on God to give me guidance as well as purpose. He provides everything we need to live.

We live here but, not here spiritually. We cannot turn into heaven. Only God can, at the appointed time.

I am lifted by God and I can remain, as long as I do not allow the things or people, or "Drama" of this earth to draw me down; "gravity"!

How can an omnipotent, omnicognizant being not be in control?

Think about it.

An omnipotent, omnicognzant being could have also designed a world where we could learn these lessons though good things happening, rather than all the bad things and suffering that we see.

So, if God exists, He must have deliberately chosen for us to suffer needlessly. How can an all-loving God do that?

If god is in control and is omnipresent/omnipotent then he controls your mind, so it would be in control from his point of view, otherwise he wouldn't be omnipresent.

Why try to make it look like god isn't the cause of the things that happen, when you specifically define him with characteristics that make it unable for him not to.

If you believe in an omnipresent god then you have to concede that you have no freewill to be out of control, or do anything outside of god's script. The first moment god was omnipresent he knew everything that would happen, this puts you and himself in a "script" that was written at that moment. If it was not follower exactly from that moment on he would have been wrong at that first moment, leaving him not omnipresent. So even god does not have freewill.

Yes, true. But the mind is controlled the moment we let it controlled by God. He is too willing and waiting!

Dear Sir,

God is in our control only when we love him through the core of our heart. Mind is dynamic, and has thousands of ideas passing through it within a minutes time. So, it cann't be controlled. If you want to control it, you have to concentrate yourself while watching inhaling and exaling of your breath and when you keep your mind busy with watching of breathing, it will not run away from you. You can be in the state of thoughtlessness and then only you can control it. Thanks

God is in control of the earth's destiny along with His children. We are to renew our minds and allow the Holy Spirit to carry out the will of God for our lives.

God is like a conscious sky in which mind dances.

I personally think the human mind can control the human without the human knowing how to control it. This is why the Hebrews fasted in the name of Yahweh so they could gain thier mind to themselves.

I believe God dwells in the spiritual world. Man dwells in the physical world. We chose this route for ourselves, not God. Man is the author of all evil that exists here on Earth, not God.

Free will. God gave us that remember.

No. We have free will. That is why we are in this mess to begin with. Adam & Eve exercised THEIR free will poorly and chose to disobey.
