1.
MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESISED IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY:

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh) because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses (pbuh) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh) was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet.

If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after
Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will
fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.

However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses (pbuh):

i)

Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (pbuh) was born miraculously without any male intervention.

[Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47]

ii)
Both were married and had children. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.

iii)
Both died natural deaths. Jesus (pbuh) has been raised up alive. (4:157-158)

Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses (pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaac (pbut). The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (pbuh).

Your criteria for Muhammad being like Moses is a joke, lol. They had mothers and fathers, were married and had kids. That describes most people. It's really funny that you would even use this as proof!

To say that Christians only have two reasons how Jesus and Moses are alike is even funnier.

Moses and Jesus were both saved from being killed as infants. Both the would-be killers died and word was sent that it was safe to return home.

Moses and Jesus both performed miracles. We all know Muhammad didn't.

Moses and Jesus saved people. Moses saved a Nation, Jesus saves us all. Who did Muhammad ever save?

Moses and Jesus were not illiterate.

Moses and Jesus both had a direct relationship with God. Mo did not. He only had a spirit.

Moses and Jesus were both rejected by Israel at first.

Both were raised by stepfathers.

Muhammad just made things up and Muslims, such as yourself, continue to do the same.

God Bless.

Great food for thought! Alhamdulillah!

I think the 21st chapter of Genesis should be re-read. There are contradictions in it. Why would The Almighty want Abraham, in his old age, to break his back out, thereby ruining his health, trying to pick up a very heavy teenager and placing that teenager on his mother's shoulders? Why are Muslims supposed to believe and accept this? This has absolutely nothing to do with a sacred covenant.

Are people so covenant-driven that anything goes? The covenant The Almighty made with Abraham was not an "at all costs" covenant. It was sacred, and must be answered for. Losing all common sense and intelligence regarding this issue makes no sense.

Was Ishmael really illegitimate, or do people want him to be illegitimate because Isaac was "chosen"?

33:40. Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things. Ahmadies are made confused from the meaning of " Khaatam Annabiyyeen" - The seal of the prophets, it can be translated as, - A seal OR as - A rubber stamp this "rubber stamp" translation suits to Ahmadies , but it should be an offence to our beloved prophet Sall Allah o Elehe Wassallam.

How can you say that Jesus was raised from the dead if Muslims say he did not die on the cross?

If Jesus was a prophet, he prophesied that he would die and suffer at the hands of wicked men, and would be raised on the third day.

So which is it?

If he was a great prophet, he told the truth.

If not, the Quran is wrong in calling him a great prophet.

Which Jesus do you follow?

The one who is, or the one that others have made up?

Mohammed did not perform great miracles as Moses did before great multitudes, neither did God speak to Mohammed bofore multitudes, ..Jesus cured, multiplied bread, resurrected the dead and God several times acknowledged Jesus (as he did Moses by summoning Mosees to the top of the mount horeb in full view of all the Jewish people) infront of multitudes as when he said This is My beloved Son, Listen to Him. Through Moses God gave manna and water to the Hungry and thirsty Jews, through Jesus he has given the Word of Life and the Water of Grace and the Holy Spirit

I would not say that your argument is convincing or even reasonable. There are a number of prophecies that Christians recognize to be Messianic and a number which Jews consider to be Messianic. I strongly doubt that the majority of these even come close to applying to your prophet.

From my atheist perspective, I have extreme problems with a god that waited through 200,000 years of human history to "reveal his truth" and then chose a single race to reveal it to.

If you read the Koran , Surah VII Ayaha 102-133 you will see that Mohamed got the story of Moses all wrong, so how can Mohamed be a prophet?

My question is:

If you Muslims feel the Bible is so Corrupted,

then why do you quote Deuteronomy 18:18 and John 16:13

as Uncorrupted prophecies of Muhammad???
BibleProphecyOnTheWeb

I believe Deuteronomy 18:18 (below) is referring to Jesus.

Jesus was sent into the world by God the Father (Jn.17:18, Jn.12:49 below).

Jesus will tell us all things (Jn.4:25 below). Jesus does nothing of himself, but as God the Father has taught Him; what He should say, and what He should speak (Jn.8:28-29, Jn.12:49-50 below).

Deut.18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren (Jn.17:18 below), like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth (Jn.8:28-29, Jn.12:49-50 below); and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Jn.17:18 As thou (Father) hast sent me (Jesus) into the world (Jn.12:49 below), even so have I also sent them into the world.

Jn.12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me (Jn.17:18 above), he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Jn.12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Jn.4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Jn.4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].

Jn.8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jn.8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

you couldn't be more wrong.

it is ONLY referring to Jesus, because moses was the intercessor between the children of israel and the Lord.

Jesus is the intercessor between God and man this day... Him only for He bore our sin.

the word prophet simply indicates one who speaks the Words of God. and God said to the children of israel you MUST listen to what He says.

now, there is no other prophet who can say that the Lord commanded His people to listen to them other than Christ, because there is no other name under heaven by which we MUST be saved.

yes he fulfils the prophecy. THere are other verses too in the bible that say prophet muhammad will come

Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is

come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".

But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the ‘Paraklit’ will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. (John, 16:7-8)

Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was foretold in the Old Scriptures (that exist in the Bible and elsewhere):

The sections here are:

1- In the New Testament.

2- In the Book of Isaiah.

3- In other Books in the Bible, and other Biblical Prophets proving Islam.

4- The "lost people of Israel" are the people of Afghanistan and Kashmir today. See proofs from the Bible and History. Cities were mentioned and documented.

5- Muhammad is mentioned by the exact name in the Gospel of Barnabas.

6- Prophet Muhammad mentioned throughout the Old Testament.

7- Rebuttals.

1- In the New Testament:

Being like the teacher. An 11-page PDF file that contains ample proofs from Aramaic showing that the word 'Muslim' was mentioned by Jesus himself.

In the Gospel of John: Muhammad is mentioned by the name and was foretold in the Gospel of John. This is a must read article! It proves that Jesus peace be upon him predicted for the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him to come after him.

The Aramaic Bible predicts the coming of Muhammad by the exact word.

Further proofs from the Aramaic Bible Society. A very good proof from the Aramaic Bible Society web site regarding Muhammad's name mentioned in the Greek Bible. This is a must visit link!!.

Jesus told the Jews that GOD Almighty will take His Kingdom from them and give it to the Muslims.

My detailed rebuttal to a Christian rebuttal about Muhammad was foretold by Jesus. I addressed all of their rebuttal points and refuted them. The article also talks about the 24,000 books that the current Bible's 66 books came from, and how that makes the current 66 chosen books extremely unreliable and doubtful.

2- In the Book of Isaiah:

Isaiah 42-54 predicts Islam, and the removal of GOD Almighty's Covenant from the people of Israel.

In the Book of Isaiah: Isaiah in the Bible foretold the story of "Al-alak" that is in the Noble Quran about Muhammad. Isaiah in the Bible foretold the story of "Al-alak" in the Noble Quran which happened to Muhammad and never happened to any other Prophet. It is the story where the Angel Gabriel repeatedly commands the Prophet to read, and the Prophet (i.e. Muhammad) repeatedly replies "I can't read".

Isaiah's Vision: He saw Jesus riding a donkey and Muhammad riding a camel. He also saw the destruction of Babylon (i.e. Iraq today) and its idol gods, and replacing them with a Divine Religion (i.e. Islam today).

Prophet Muhammad was foretold in Isaiah 42.

Muhammad in the Bible, (Isaiah 60), Pilgrimage to Mecca..!

Islamic Fasting was predicted by Isaiah in the Bible.

Isaiah 7:14 describes Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Prophet Muhammad was given "GOD is with us" (Emmanuel)

3- In other Books in the Bible, and other Biblical Prophets proving Islam:

Deuteronomy 18:18's Prophet is non other than Prophet Muhammad.

The "great nation" of Ishmael and its definition in the Bible.

The fall of pagan Babylon to pagan Persia in the Bible, and then the fall of pagan Persia (Iran + Iraq) to Islam.

The emigration of the Muslims to Madina was foretold in the Bible.

The story of the 10,000 Muslims who liberated Mecca (Paran) in the Bible.

Pilgrimage of Ezekiel to Mecca.

See the Proof that "Paran" in the Bible is "Mecca". Paran in the Bible is Mecca today - See the Archeological discoveries that prove Mount Sinai is in Saudi Arabia.

4- The "lost people of Israel" are the people of Afghanistan and Kashmir today:

The "lost tribes of Israel" are the Muslims of Afghanistan and Kashmir -- Proved from the Bible and History -- Afghan and Kashmiri cities mentioned and documented.

5- Muhammad is mentioned by the exact name in the Gospel of Barnabas:

Saint Barnabas is mentioned in the New Testament and he is very well admired too: "For God who was at work in the ministry of Peter as an apostle to the Jews, was also at work in my ministry as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Peter, and John, those reputed to be pillars, gave me [Paul] and Barnabas the right hand to fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we [Paul and Barnabas] should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews. (The New Testament from the N.I.V Bible, Galatians 2:8-9)"

Saint Barnabas's story in the New Testament begins in Acts 4:36. People often don't know the name of this great Saint. The reason for that is because he lived and dedicated his life to serve others. His real name was Joseph, but the Christians gave him a nickname of "Barnabas" because it meant the "son of encouragement". Barnabas came alongside people in times of challenge and helped them; see Acts 9:10-28 and Acts 15:36-39 for more details.

So in other words, we really should take his Gospel very seriously and consider it too the inspired word of GOD. Since Christians believe in Paul, John, Mark and Matthew as Prophets of GOD, then they should also consider Barnabas as a Prophet too.
