If God’s real, why did He let such bad things happen to me?

I’ve been raped, molested, psychically and verbally abused, manipulated, and there a plenty more. My life sucks. I’ve been raised Catholic, but I’m having trouble believing there’s someone up there letting all that happen. If He’s real, why would He let that happen?

God isn't real. He's part of a belief system, but I believe that you misunderstand that belief system. And that's not your fault. It's due to the many contradictions that exist around belief systems. God is good and kind. Or, God is wrathful and punishes wrongdoing. God will help you if you pray to him. God leaves you with free will to sort out your own problems. Take your pick. Mix and match them as you will. That's what religion has done. And it was all with the desire to have someone in control of us, not only 'on high', but as a means of controlling your behaviour here on earth.

If Christendom's clergy would teach what the Bible really says you would know this answer and would never ask it! People ask all the time, "why does bad things happen to good people?" The clergy has people believing what happens to them is being done by God, they ignore this scripture! (1 John 5:19) We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.

When things go wrong and something bad happens they tell you to pray, nothing wrong with that it's what they tell you when your prayers do not work! They say you must have done something really bad for this to happen, you didn't pray hard enough, or you didn't give enough to the church! They are full of it because they are part of what Satan the wicked one controlls! The scriptures tell us "Time and unforeseen circumstances befall us all"!

The scriptures speak of a better time when all maters will be set straight, This will happen during Christ thousand reign after Armageddon! This is the Good news being preached about now! (Matt 24:14;2 Tim 4:2)

The Bible has an outline on what is going to happen, this outline is under God's direction and everyone that knows it by getting factual truths recored in the Bible know that man is responsible for our condition here on earth, Adam chose to believe Satan over God so when Adam sinned all his decendants are under sin! Gen 3:15 the first prophecy recored says God will put enmity between the true congregation(symbolized as God's wife-the women) and Satan(the great dragon) Satan's offspring would be wounded in the head, it's a death blow! It happened when Christ died, (Jesus founded the Christian belief, his followers are called the bride class) Jesus was only bruised in the heel, he was resurrected on the 3rd day!

Everything that has happened to you will be set right when God's Kingdom ruled by Christ comes (Dan 2:44), death and the grave will be done away with (Rev 20:14) All tears and all bad things will no longer be (Rev 21:3-4)

Personally i'm getting *weary* (again) of the repetitiousness in the Religion & Spirituality section of *Yahoo Answers* and feel like it's time for me (if i am *wise*) to leave here for at least a month... better a year... perhaps best, *never* return, because i think, overall, i'm really *wasting* my time here... but, recurrently, i get the urge, again, to *try* to be a bit helpful relative to *serious* questions being asked from genuine Seekers of the Truth.



It can be a *rough* life on this world. Circumstances here are often *cruel*.



Jesus once told me, "When you die, you have a *choice*." Unfortunately i didn't hear what the choices *were*! (If i were actually a "liar" like a number of atheists accuse me here, i'd make some up, rather than admitting what i *don't* know!)



i *believe* one of those choices is that you can *reincarnate* here -- but you don't *have* to. You have to *choose* to. (If you don't, that's fine! There are all manner of animal souls who *want* to come back as a human. i could *clearly* see that our late dog, Ebony, definitely wanted to be *human*!)



So i *believe* that *you* chose this incarnation that you're dealing with... thus finally it's for *you* to determine *why* you did so. Really no one else can *define* that for you. Part of your reason for *being* here is to define it for *yourself* -- and then *fulfill* it!



All i can assure you of is that all the awful things that have happened to you are going to *help* you define that reason... and enable you to *better* set about fulfilling your life's *purpose* for being here.



The dreadful experiences you have *had* will enable you to deeply, *compassionately* understand all others who have had similar experiences, which, of course, will *qualify* you to insightfully *help* them, once you define the answers for *yourself*. Most likely that's why you have had those experiences.



From my own personal experience i was asking the Biblical God for Answers for about 35 *years* and he never spoke a word to me! But as soon as i started asking *Goddess* for the Answers, *She* communicated to me (telepathically). After that Jesus started communicating with me, Mary Magdalene did likewise, and Goddess "connected me up" with the *real* Heavenly Father (*not* the Biblical "God") and *He* explained a few things to me. After all of *that* the Biblical "God" started trying to deceive me! -- and threatened the lives of my children.



My life has been an *interesting* "Spiritual Odyssey" -- at least to me! -- as i look back over the past 75 years.



To anyone and everyone i say: *Don't* seek the answers from the Biblical God or *his* book. He gives too many false answers. Don't seek them in the Qu'ran.
