The term "irrefutable proof" does not exist in science. Anything *could* be proved to be false, however unlikely that may be. But anyone who claims to have "irrefutable proof" is not a true scientist.

The "missing links" were found in 1974 (Australopithecus Aferensis) and from 1891 to 1961 (Homo Erectus). A.A. is a fully bipedal ape whose hands, feet, teeth, pelvis, skull, and other physical details are exactly what Creationists have challenged us to find, yet they're still pretending they haven't found it.

When you find a bone in the dirt, you don't know that it had any kids, much less different kids. If it is in fact a new type of creature, it's simply yet another extinct animal that we simply haven't found yet. "The woods is full of them."

The only reason people think these finds are missing links is because they think they are out there to be found. Open-minded empirical science would be open to many more interpretations of the evidence.
