Why haven't Baptists and Protestants and the other churches started in the past couple of hundred years jumped on the sainthood bandwagon? It's also a business opportunity for cards, books and tourist destinations...

1) Why does only the Catholic Church have saints and not the Christian spin-off religions?
This is not an accurate claim. The obvious exceptions: Eastern Orthodox Church, Oriental Orthodox Church, Assyrian Church of the East. The less obvious but more glaring exceptions: the Anglican Communion, Lutheranism (both of which have saints and both of which are very large Protestant sects).
2) Why haven't Baptists and Protestants and the other churches started in the past couple of hundred years jumped on the sainthood bandwagon?
One of their fundamental teachings is that the word "saint" refers to any devout Christian and not specifically to dead or miracle-causing or especially holy Christians.

First, saints are not about business opportunities.
Everyone in heaven is a saint - some have been recognized with the title "Saint" but that doesn't mean they're the only saint.
And Protestant churches do recognize saints. They still refer to sanctified members of the universal church as saints. So there are things like St. Luke's Lutheran Church, St. Matthew's Anglican Church, St. Mark's United Methodist Church, etc.

True Christians are Saints. Everyone who follows Jesus is a Saint.
Acts 9:32
32Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda.
Romans 8:27
27Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Everyone who follows Jesus is a Saint. But not every saint in the catholic church followed Jesus.

The Church of England (also called Anglican and Episcopalian) is a Protestant church that has saints. St Paul's Cathedral in London, for instance, is a C of E Protestant cathedral named after a saint. St Andrew's cathedral in Sydney is an Anglican Protestant cathedral named after a saint.

Saints are evidence of the Gospel. They have achieved what we hope to achieve. As a result they are an inspiration to all Christians. The Church and the bible teaches that there are three aspects to the Church:
Militant, which are those professing Christ on earth
Suffering, those who have been judged worthy of heaven and are going through purgation to enter heaven
Triumphant, those who are in heaven
We all worship God together and pray for one another to God.
God bless!

Some Protestant churches do have saints: Lutherans and Anglicans definitely have saints, and they are Protestant. It's only the Calvinist ones, and the ones who've drifted far from the philosophical underpinnings, who don't recognise saints.

There are others who do. Lutheran, Orthodox, Anglican, etc but no other Church researches and publicly declares their accomplishments of Sainthood but the Catholic Church.
@Matthew, compare your actions here on R&S to any declared Catholic Saint and see how you stack up? You do not come off as following Christs commandments especially toward Catholics.
"There are not more than 100 people in the world who truly hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they perceive to be the Catholic Church. ....As a matter of fact, if we Catholics believed all of the untruths and lies which were said against the Church, we probably would hate the Church a thousand times more than they do."

I do not fairly like questions like this seeing that it comes dangerously virtually judging others. It's a bit of extra complex then that. It is God's will that every one guys be stored (one million Tim two:four). While sure, I agree that the Catholic Church (and Orthodox) are the old Christian church buildings as validated by means of old proof and by means of Apostolic Succession, with St. Peter as top bishop, we can't say that different Christians can't be stored or wouldn't have a courting with Jesus. The approach I seem at it's that the Catholic Church includes the fullness of reality as given to it by means of the Truth, Jesus himself. The different Christians are facet of the Catholic Church in up to they're in contract along with her. Many are unaware of the truths in Catholicism as they have been taught otherwise. It continues to be feasible for them to be stored. Jesus needs every body to be stored. While it's actual that so much of official Christian doctrine has been distorted by means of activities in Protestantism. The Eucharist for illustration. Anyone who appears truthfully on the knowledge of old Christians inside the primary 2 hundred years and past of Christianity can best finish that they believed that the bread and wine honestly grew to be the frame and blood of Christ. The indisputable fact that this isn't identified by means of many different Christians approach they're ignorant to it. They are taught that it is only an emblem. They do not know any larger. We do not desire to be stuck responsible of judging them or their salvation. Jesus particularly says don't pass judgement on. We can pass judgement on whether or not their doctrine is in errors or now not, however we can't pass judgement on their courting to God. That is for God by myself to pass judgement on. We can't even competently pass judgement on ourselves, by no means brain others. God Bless

That was one of the main points that protestants broke off from Catholicism, they objected to the idea of saints. Read up on the history.

There is only one Saint, if you choose that title, something that oddly escapes the Church...

Because the creation of saints goes against the teachings of the new testament! Even under Christianity you are supposed to worship none other than your god.

Because every born-again Chrsitian is a saint.

Catholicism is a cult Protestantism believes in them but does not pray to them.
