Question:
Atheists: In GOD we trust!?
2017-04-04 19:23:31 UTC
Does it bother you that the currency you have and use on a daily basis contradicts with your defiant and intolerant state of being? You hypocrites should focus on yourselves before you focus on us. Repent, then maybe you will be saved. Continue your ways and you will be burned by Satan.

The currency I do not use every day has "50" on one side and "Elizabeth II Australia 2015" on the other. No mention of any gods at all from the $100 note to the 5 cent coin.

False assumption, followed by preaching and empty threats. Standard religious rubbish.

- SO? I don't read the money.

You hypocrites should focus on yourselves before you focus on us.

- We do.

Repent, then maybe you will be saved.

- You are the psychopaths that need to repent. You are the only ones who think your fantasy is real.

I could care less if our currency said "Praise the Lord!".

It won't disprove the fact that gods are man-made superstitions invented by ancient shepherds who believed that eating bacon could trigger an earthquake.

If the Americans were HONEST about it, the money would bear an inscription stating the TRUTH:

"In SOME of the Gods, SOME of us trust, SOME of the time."

Meanwhile:

I have seen no testable evidence for the existence of your favorite Deity.

Nor have I seen credible evidence that it was YOU who kidnapped, tortured, raped, and murdered a missing child.

If I am invited to join a group of people who are going to offer worship to that deity, should I just DO it,

or should I ask for evidence?

In like manner, if I am invited to join a group of people who are going to drag you into the street and beat you to death for what you did to that child, should I just DO it,

or should I ask for evidence?

That phrase is on AMERICAN currency, not every atheist is American and not everyone on Yahoo is American. The money in my country does not say In God We Trust.

it doesn't say that on my CREDIT CARD...also

James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. your religion is worthless.

It only bothers me because it's a direct violation of Separation of Church and state. Would you be upset if money said "In Allah We Trust"? It's the same thing.

And Repent for what? Not believing in things without evidence?

that's just one more way religion is forced on society at every turn...

My coinage has no such wording, On our £5 note it has in 1953 Churchhill won the noble prize for literature. If I were American I doubt I would care.
2017-04-04 20:12:58 UTC
Nope, doesn't bother me at all, it's just a piece of paper. And there is not 1 scintilla of tangible evidence for the existence of a god or satan, so I'm not particularly concerned.

Nope. Though it is a consolation that if I'm wrong, you will be there too.
2017-04-04 19:31:53 UTC
I don't use cash.

But, when christers show how weak their cult is, that they have to splatter their god creature all over currency in order of it to have worth/value in their eyes, i can only imagine how their god feels to be prostituted in such a greedy way as that.

And then, once again, you have no values and nothing but Hypocrisy with the actions of christians, who can NEVER think before they act, and realize that what they do is in complete contradiction to what their god would want of them. All he is, when his name is on money, is a money whore.

Yep. Usual mindless threats. But that's what all religion is based on. Fear of retribution. You need to take a long hard look in the mirror before you threaten others.
