Question:
Why should I care what YOU get in Heaven when you act like this on Earth?

My grandmother is hands down the most horrible person I ever met in my entire life. Racist, intolerant, smokes like a burning tire factory, forced anyone in her sight to wait on her hand and foot and just a bad person all around.

Nobody could stand her, even my mother-who I hold to be a legitimate Christian who genuinely loves others was turned away from her for her own sake. Of course it also didn't help that my mother was a "f***ing w**back" according to my Grandmother (my Grandmother on my mothers' side was from Spain).

Then it all got ten times worse.

She found Religion last year.

She has an excuse now-she's forgiven.

Now she believes that being baptized and going to church on Sunday is a free ticket into Heaven. How does she act now? Immensely worse. She has a "free ticket" (her words, not mine) into Heaven and will get into Heaven for sure now. I can understand why she would turn to religion. Her health has gone down hill for the last few years and she sees the end close at hand.

I enraged her the other day when I told her that I don't care if she's getting into "Heaven" because people like her are turning the world into Hell.

So, do you understand what I am talking about?

Regardless of what the Bible may or may not say, it is how people ACT here on Earth that matters to me. A cruel, merciless person who believes they're getting into heaven is no better than a cruel, merciless person who believes it all ends when they die.

Whether or not this is the true meaning of Christianity I believe is irrelevant. Actions speak louder than words and having a blanket of forgiveness more often than not serves to make us worse people.

So why should I care what YOU get in Heaven when you help turn the world into Hell?

This is a question I have wrestled with all my life. The truth is that we do not have the ability to judge others.

We decide if we want heaven on earth or hell on earth. There is no after life we should make this ones as good as we can.

This is a question I have wrestled with all my life. The truth is that we do not have the ability to judge others. Our own faults should keep us so occupied that we do not have the time to think of how others will be judged. God will judge and that is the final answer. You need go no further. There will be people in heaven that will surprise you and there will be people missing that you expected to be there. No man is qualified to judge another. Look at the thief that was crucified on the cross with Jesus as an example (Luke 23:34,40-43), forgiveness is personal not public as your relationship with the creator should be. Don't get caught up in others flaws because they are a work in progress and have made their own deal with the real judge. The source of this anguish is not a good source and should be avoided.

BINGO! I agree with you 100%, which is why I cry BS on those preaching easy believism...you know, 'say this little sinners prayer and ALA PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES! it's heaven bound for you!'

If you pray, say extra for her. If you don't, then I'd just try to stay away.

What matters on earth is whether you've accepted Jesus into your heart. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like your aunt has done that, despite the "free ticket" that she believes she has. Really the best thing you can do is pray for her. God works in amazing ways.
