Every Prophet was sent exclusively to his own people, but Allaah sent His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to all of mankind as Allaah said (interpretation of the meaning):

“Allaah revealed to His messenger the Qur’aan by which to guide people And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a giver of glad tidings and a Warner to all mankind, but most of men know not”

The first revelation that was sent down to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was in the cave of Hiraa’ where he used to go to worship, when Jibreel came to him and commanded him to read. The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “I am not a reader.” This happened again, and on the third time, he said to him:

“Read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists).

He has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood).

Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous

[al-‘Alaq 96:1-3 – interpretation of the meaning]

The Messenger went back home, his heart pounding. He entered upon his wife Khadeejah and told her what had happened, saying “I feared for myself.” She calmed him down and said, “By Allaah, Allaah will never forsake you, for you uphold the ties of kinship, help the weak, honour your guests, give in charity and help when some one is stricken with calamity.” Then she went with him to her cousin Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who had become a Christian. When he told him what had happened, he gave him glad tidings and told him, this is the Naamoos whom Allaah sent to Moosa. He encouraged him to be patient if his people persecuted him and expelled him. Then the wahy stopped for a while, and the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was saddened by that. Then whilst he was walking one day, he saw the angel again, between the heavens and the earth. He went back to his house and wrapped himself in his blanket. Then Allaah revealed the words (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you (Muhammad) enveloped in garments!

Arise and warn!”

[al-Muddaththir 74:1-2]

After that, revelations came one after another to the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). For a complete answer, see(Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) http://islamqa.com/en/ref/11575

The Holy Prophet ( pbuh ) Was an ordinary man before just like you and me, except while 99% of the Arabs were idol worshipers the Holy Prophet (pbuh) never worshiped an idol and used to meditate in the Cave of Hira, ......( jumping to further story ) , After he was married to Hazrat Khadija ( R.A ) , and one day when he was meditating in the Cave of Hira, The Angel Jibrael came to him and told him to read and he said i do not know how to read, he squeezed him and said read, ( this continued in a total of 3 times ) then the jibrael said the first 5 verses of Surah Alaq, making those the first verses of the Quran to be revealed, the Holy Prophet was chosen at this time by Allah to be his prophet ( and the last one ) to set the idol worshippers in the correct path, but the Holy Prophet returned Home to his wife , whom she took him to his uncle ( story continues further on for now this is how he became a prophet )

When a prophet is birthed, the Spirit of God comes upon him or her and brings humility. That person of God from that day forth won't know he or she is a prophet ever. A true prophet simply hears from God and carries out the message with signs and wonders every day of his or her life.

Now, if some Joe Shmo comes up and says, "I'm a prophet and because I say these things, and I look into the future via divination, that makes me a prophet," don't believe him or her. Fortune tellers like that can be the biggest liars.

I read the Q'ran until I had to put it down because of too much hate speech against infidels. I'm completely convinced that the author of the Q'ran had way too much pride. Jesus said about false prophets, "You shall know them by their fruits." Mohammad's fruit was pride. The mark of a prophet is humility. That must mean that, well, you tell me. Can this man of pride be a prophet if the very mark of a prophet is the complete opposite?

Among these proofs:

1. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained like that till his death. Among all his people, he was known as being truthful and trustworthy. Before receiving revelation, he had no prior knowledge of Religion or any previously sent Message. He remained like that for his first forty years. Revelation then came to Muhammad with the Koran that we now have between our hands. This Koran mentioned most of the accounts found in the previous scriptures, telling us about these events in the greatest detail as if he witnessed them. These accounts came precisely as they were found in the Torah sent down to Moses and in the Gospel sent down to Jesus. Neither the Jews or Christians were able to belie him regarding anything that he said.

2. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) also foretold of everything that would occur to him and his community after him, pertaining to victory, the removal of the tyrannical kingdoms of Chosroes [the royal title for the Zoroastrian kings of Persia] and Caesar, and the establishment of the religion of Islam throughout the earth. These events occurred exactly as Muhammad foretold, as if he was reading the future from an open book.

3. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) also brought an Arabic Koran that is the peak of eloquence and clarity. The Koran challenged those eloquent and fluent Arabs of his time, who initially belied him, to bring forth a single chapter like the Koran. The eloquent Arabs of his day were unable to contest this Koran.

Indeed, till our day, none has ever dared to claim that he has been able to compose words that equal-or even approach-the order, grace, beauty, and splendor of this Glorious Koran.

4. The life history of this Noble Prophet was a perfect example of being upright, merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, generous, distant from all evil character, and ascetic in all worldly matters, while striving solely for the reward of the Hereafter. Moreover, in all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of Allah.

5. Allah instilled great love for Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) in the hearts of all who believed in and met him. This love reached such a degree that any of his companions would willingly sacrifice his (or her) self, mother or father for him.

Till today, those who believe in Muhammad honor and love him. Anyone of those who believe in him would ransom his own family and wealth to see him, even if but once.

Actually, he didn't know anything at all.

He made it all up.

He said that Allah protects him and when he lost all the three sons that were born of him, Kasim, Abullah and Ibrahim, whom he lost in their infancy just a few months after they were born, Allah did not help him. According to a hadith, Gabriel offered him the chance to take his son's place every time and he refused and preferred to let the son die.

Mohammad said that Allah protects the Kaaba in the Qur'an, and the Kaaba was destroyed 5 times, and the last two time was by the Muslims themselves. The first was by Ummayad Caliph Yasid ibn Muwaiyya and then by the Khajirites who stole the al hajarul aswad and ransomed it to the Abbasids.

Nothing that Mohammad said ever was true.

How do you know that he knew that he was? Just because something is written, it does not make it true.
