Question:
All Christians, would you feel comfortable with a 'pull the plug' campaign?

Seriously, would you think that to be an OK campaign?

Especially if you used statistics such as:

"90% of Americans are Christians, while the other 10% are bitter (insert minority)

You know, a public sticker and web campaign, about beliefs that Christianity teaches against, such as

"Pull the Plug On Judaism"

"Pull the Plug on Hinduism"

"Pull the Plug On Buddhism"

"Pull The Plug on Muslims"

"Pull the Plug on Sikhs"

No, I would not. In fact, I would do everything in my power to stop such a ridiculous campaign.

Hello

Well apart from the fact that your statistics are faulty, why would you want to PULL THE PLUG.

Are you so unsure in your faith that you have to obliterate all others? Are you so afraid of other faiths that you would forcibly convert others? There's a word or two for that kind of behaviour and they aren't nice words....please think on that.

Can you not comprehend that there are truths in all faiths, and that religions are our way of understanding our place in the world and our approach to the divine, and this will differ depending on when and where you were born - I mean someone born 4,000 years ago had different gods, and different societal mores than we do today. Doesn't make them wrong, just different, thus it is with faiths other than your own.

Do you really think this pull the plug campaign is a good idea? What happened to "love thy neighbour as thyself" - there isn't a sub heading saying "only if he believes as you do"

No, it would not be an ok campaign! If there's one thing I can't stand, it's those religious people who turn there nose up at everything they think is ungodly. People who think that their religion is right should consider that everyone else thinks that their own religion is right. If we all went around trying to pull the plug on other religions, there'd be a whole lot of hate and chaos.

I am not sure where these 90% percent of Christians are. I guess if you were to ask people what religion they were they would tell you Christian. If you asked them if they had a relationship with GOD though Jesus they would stare at you blankly without a clue.

The Jews are the elect. For a Christian to be against them would make them the ultimate hypocrite. (Martin Luther included). Just because they mock Jesus does not give us a rite to mock them.

Atheist are simply people who do not believe in GOD. I know a bunch of them. The last place any of them would be is Yahoo Answers in a R&S answer forum.

There is another person who calls themselves Atheist who is not an Atheist at all. They are an Anti Christ. Not only do they believe in Christ and his followers, they devote most of their lives to combating them and trying to wipe them from the face of the earth. They use humor, satire, mockery, arrogance and hate when allowed. If given the green light I am sure most would rejoice greatly to see the Christians hung on crosses themselves; that way there would be nobody telling them they were sinning and they could buy beer on Sunday. The irony is that it is not the Christ followers convicting these people. It is the Holy Spirit. You have to kill GOD for GOD to go away.

Good luck with that my Anti Christ friend.

This is a prime example of why independent fundamentalist Baptists need adult supervision when interacting with the public.

Edit: Write to Ray and attempt to get him to rethink his hooey?! That's a safe challenge for you to make, seeing as how Ray-boy is making a mortgage and boat payment off of the proceeds from his books. You might as well ask Heffner to quit publishing Playboy on principles.

Hm, I'd say a very poor choice of words for their campaign.

I don't mind a group of religious individuals putting together a movement to try and increase communication between atheists and those of faith. But they should be respectful of an atheist's lack of belief in God, just as an atheist should respectful of our belief in God (IE: not bashing one another).

It looks, just from glancing at the website, that this group is taking it too far.

But only a small minority are True Christians. The others are just Sunday Christians, or Catholics who preach a false doctrine of works, or people who don't know that sitting in a garage doesn't make you a car, or whatever the other excuses are.

Isn't it odd how all those people who aren't Real Christians are counted when they want to claim to be a big majority?

If he says "Pull the plug on Moslems" and "... Sikhs", as you put it, then he is wrong: but if he said " ... on Islam" and " ... on Sikhism", then he is correct. That's because he is urging the individual Moslem, Sikh etc to make a personal choice to abandon works-based religion, which CANNOT save, for a personal relationship with the Triune God, made possible only by Christ's (i.e. God the Son and only-begotten Son of God) death on the cross, and thus have an eternity of bliss with God rather than eternal torment in hell.

May God bless all who sincerely seek the truth about Him.

Pull the plug on pulling the plug.

Who are "Christians" to decide who should be and who shouldn't be? Christ did NOT teach any of that. He WAS a Jew.

it really is as undesirable as Christians whining about different religions being undesirable because they are diverse. i'd be keen about a software advocating "do not ask do not tell" and "save your nostril out of my faith or lack thereof" form of software.

I like the banana thing they do. They probably are unaware of the

phallic symbolism going on.

That video sucks. I cannot stand people jabbering to computer generated drivel. Rap is not music.

Wouldnt make a difference. Satan is still here. We are going to have problems and death etc until the Lord comes. If we were to pull the plug on these things, it will only shift the problems to another section of life. This will never end, which is the way of the world, until the Lord comes.
