searches for an simple answer that will justifiy his existence. That we are not ready to think for oursleves and create our own moral codes. That we need to be guided by a higher power. That we cannot make sense of the world with all its pain and suffering without there being a greater end. That without insitutions and ritiuals our lives become even less meaningless than they are.
You belive that you are opening our minds to the truth but really you are removing from the world the last final aspect of its light.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. No creature can survive with a natural sense of what is the right thing to do and what is the wrong thing to do. Not even animals

The meaning of life is not to be determined by irrational, unjustifiable, appeal-to-emotion thoughts. One gives his or her life their own meaning. Not someone else.

Jeremiah 10:23 "...to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."

So we clearly need higher guidance because the political systems of this world will not solve the issues of sickness, suffering, death only God's kingdom which will soon put an end to these kingdoms and governments. (Daniel 2:44)

From the first sin until now, it is obvious that a Higher guidance is needed. There has been nothing but pain and suffering. And the Bible is not a story book it is God's word. (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

So what is the meaning of life without the hope if God's promises? Nothing! No man will bring peace to this world,or get rid of pain. There is a Creator, the complexity of humans and animals didn't come by chance. The solar systems orderliness didn't come by chance either. (Rev 4:11, Romans 1:20) So do some research before calling the Bible a story book.

You may be a scared beast who is looking for simple answers since simple is all you can handle. You, as well as all fundies, obviously need to be guided and have some one else tell you what morality is, but then as you say you are simple minded. Your life is obviously meaningless, mine isn't.

I am assuming you are speaking for yourself. I personally am not a scared beast. The grate apes survive without the knowledge of your god and the only thing they fear is man. I need no rituals to give meaning to my life or that which I choose to do. I also have done well without needing the church or god to threaten me with hell fire or interpret for me from ancient story books. I have found my own light and see with clarity where you see what is handed to you in ignorance.

I live a good life because I know it is the right thing to do. I feel sorry for christians who can only live a good life if they are coerced by their god.

wow you just admitted that atheists are seeing past the weak human bull **** and seeing that the rest of the ppl are just scared. you have to be an atheist.

i am an atheist, but i believe that anyone should have a religion if that suits them. as long as it doesn't get pushed on be and i don't get ostracized because my beliefs aren't like the religious ppls.

all of the atheists i know only have 2 things against religion:

1) the religious majority attack us on all levels just for our lack of a simular belief system

2) that religion is shoved down our throat by everyone because they think we don't understand

BUT WE DO UNDERSTAND!!!! we just choose to take a path that doesn't involve blind faith in a man on a cloud, lots of money, and a day out of every weekend waisted.

Interesting argument.

You're basically saying "yeah, there is no omnipotent entity who loves us but we have to believe it, as a society, or we'd go nuts.". And the thing is, your argument is actually provable. Or at least supportable. Granted, the countries that don't believe in God strongly and yet, aren't going nuts, kinda put the lie to your argument but hey, it's got stuff you can test (start a commune of atheists and see if they implode. Then start a commune of theists and see if they implode and so on...).

So, at the very least, thanks for presenting a testable argument. One that doesn't snuff out like a candle in a high wind in the first few minutes I mean.

So you'd rather use your security blanket and hide for the sake of your own comfort to be ignorant and unenlightened rather than seeking the Truth, accepting the Truth, and growing to maturity like an adult?

There are millions of people and many natins who live without religion - they don't need it and nor do you. Grow up or go to church.

Hands down the worst statement I've seen from you thus far.

Is this a joke? You've done a remarkable job if you're trolling.

"you are removing from the world the last final aspect of its light."

We have a universe full of lights, they are objectively visible with or without religion.

Religion or no religion, I don't care. We should at least try to coexist peacefully.

There is nothing that justifies existence. Our existence is meaningless.

atheists are scared, that's for sure. I don't know how many of them are beasts though.
