I'd put it with the top toward the heart as that is the way your arm usually is. Otherwise, in your day-to-day life, it will be inverted.

Also, when you show it to somebody while you are facing them, they will see it upright.

The Wheel of Fortune of the tarot depending on which tarot deck you use has may different pictures to choose from. And regardless where you put it, it is it's interpretation that is the meaning and that which you want to display permanently on your body.

If upright (when you are upright) the meaning of the card is a twist of fortune will enter your life of it's own accord and affect the direction you are traveling in at the moment. This twist can have either a positive or negative influence on your direction. Fate or Karma has stepped in and altered your life. Look to see where this unexpected change is taking you.

If reversed or upside down, the meaning would be your situation is at a low point now and the only direction it can take is upwards. Changes that take place now are of a positive and repairing nature.

Now even though the upside down or reversed image is the better, you are wearing it as an ornament to your body so is it there for interpretation or ornamental purposes.

Eh, please don't get Chinese symbols unless the language or culture has significant meaning to you. Otherwise it just looks silly. Get something with meaning hun. There are plenty of religious symbols that aren't Chinese. You could get a crucifix or a bible passage. As for the pain, I've had a thigh tattoo, and I've got to say it really wasn't bad. My nipple piercing actually hurt more, if only for a much shorter time. But keep in mind that it's different for everyone.

Don't know the symbol, but I would suggest getting it done in a way so when you show it to people, they will be viewing it right side up.

what reason is good enough for you to do that to your body? Goodness knows when you are 40 you will wonder why you did such a ridiculous thing.

Have you ever seen an older persons tattoo? It is all grey, wrinkly and ugly.

Think. Go color your hair blue and forget that tattoo.

Most of the time do you have your palm raised or hanging down, by your side?

Generally, the top points up, towards the sky.

Tattoos are indoctrination from the sons of satan so that nobody will have any problems accepting the "mark of the beast" when that prophecy is fulfilled in the near future.

I know you don't want to hear this: Bad Idea! Do not "play" with the Tarot.

OK, thumb me down, but when the nightmare starts I'll only say I told you so!

depends on which way you consider it facing....

facing up means destiny, luck, felicity

facing down means abundance and superfluity (sp?)
