Christians, why will Judas Iscariot sit on a throne judging the twelve tribes of Israel?

Question

After public teaching, Jesus and his twelve apostles withdraw from the crowds and Peter asks him what reward they would have. Jesus assures him that they would sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel when he comes back.

Matthew 19:27-28 ESV

''Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you,
in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you
who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.''

Matthias was elected to replace judas and will be in heaven, judging.

I think you might have misunderstood the meaning of this part of his statement, "you who have followed me". In other words, I'm saying that he didn't mean physically following him. He meant followed his teachings. Judas Iscariot wasn't following his teachings.
