That is from history not at the present. In the past there have been some corrupt Popes. Around the time of Luther, the Catholic Church burned Bibles. Because they were unauthorized translations. That's why the invention of the printing press was such a big part of the Protestant Reformation. People realized that the Church had burned people at the stake for not believing in the Trinity, when the word trinity was not even in the Bible. Hitler was an anti-Christ. Does that mean that every German leader is the antichrist? Of course not. Are people so twisted as to compare a modern Pope to Hitler? If the attackers of the Catholic church were correct, they would not have to lie and slander what Catholics believe. The Bible says, no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3), so how can the Catholic Church be the anti-Christ, when that is what it teaches? The Bible says, If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9), so how Can the Catholic Church be the anti-Christ if that is what it teaches and what Catholics say out loud every church service? It's impossible. It makes some people feel better to believe non-sense. "Look how strong our faith is if we believe nonsense!" The Bible tells us to tolerate those whose faith is weak, and not argue over disputable matters. People think nothing to violate the directions of the Bible, and believe what is contrary to the Bible, and call themselves Christians. The Catholic view is that Rev largely happened in 70AD and that belief in the 1000 year future reign of Jesus on the earth is a heresy.
