Hello sister:)
Over the time we tend to see revival as a big happening, something huge, but over the years, the precious realization that revival is something more down to earth, even daily, has truly ' revived " me.
Where I meet, we go through a bible devotional each morning. Interestingly enough, its called' The Holy Word for Morning Revival"
Each morning, we need to be revived, restored, renewed by the Lord. Yesterday's manna cannot do for today. We need each days' supply to nourish, sustain and enliven us as we journey onwards.
When we awaken each day, we should come to the Lord in a simple way, and open to Him in prayer, with a song as we enter into the Word to be revived by Him. To me, this is the healthy way for a normal christian to live. If we seek the big revivals, with a big speaker, under big circumstances ( not that this is not also a way for the Lord to draw us back to Himself) but then AFTER this revival, we need to live in a normal healthy way before the Lord.. BY being revived by Him in the Word, in prayer each morning.
Psalm 5:3
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
He will restore to us, all the years that that satan has devoured. I gain so much encouragement from this verse in Joel 2.
25 And I will restore to you the years That the swarming locust has eaten, The licking locust and the consuming locust and the cutting locust, My great army That I sent among you.
As a Pattern to us, the Lord Jesus had His times with ther Father early in the morning, before the world pressed its way in. May we be strengthened to pick up this habit as well.
Mark 1:35
And rising very early in the morning, while it was still night, He went out and went away to a deserted place, and there He prayed.
