Question:
Christians, is there a small doubt in your beliefs?

If you genuinely 100% believed that the actions in this life lead to heaven or hell, then why do you do anything you think God would not approve of? If you think this comparatively short life will lead to an eternity in heaven if done right, why do you stray?

I know you'll say "humans are not perfect" and things like that, but if I actually believed that I would get eternity in some pleasure filled place I think I could manage a life without sin.

Is it that there is a niggling doubt in the back of your mind and you don't want to waste this life totally?

Is it the contradictions in the bible about what is right and wrong?

Is it that you can just repent later and it's no problem?

Small doubt ?

There is Huge! doubt in Christian beliefs......... none of the can agree on doctrine.

For them to set there and play save face and say it isn't so is 100% of a liar.

I think you nailed it with your last statement. That they know they are going to heaven just because they are Christians, so they don't mind committing some small sins every now and then. They think they'll get a free pass.

After all, most of them say that Jesus Christ has already paid for their sins, and that anyone who believes in him is destined to heaven.

If only reality was so convenient, lol. This is mindless indulgence in wishful thinking.

It is none of those things.

Christ Died For Our Sins (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

All of them.

The Payment (In FULL) was already paid off to God over 2000 years ago. It's a done deal, regardless of what we think, regardless of what we do, regardless of who we are, regardless of what we fail to be.

We merely place our faith in the crosswork of Jesus Christ, and realize that it's all about what God did for us, and not about what we think we can do for him.

There is no room for doubt, when we realize God paid for our sins, and he made us righteous in HIS sight.

To another person's sight? We appear anything other than righteous. We are as fools, it seems. But in the eyes of God and in the mind of God, Christ has MADE us perfect, by paying for our sin debt. Thus, leaving no room for doubt, because it's no longer dependent upon us to "try to get to heaven" anymore.
