Question:
Shouldn't Christians show one example of info existing without being attached to something material?

before they go on about their immaterial God holding all knowledge (info)? If you take away the CD, book or hard drive the info is lost into oblivion. For info to exist it needs to be attached to matter. Don't go off on a tangent, just show one simple example and prove me wrong.

Dark Matter:

"Astrophysicists hypothesized dark matter due to discrepancies between the mass of large astronomical objects determined from their gravitational effects and the mass calculated from the "luminous matter" they contain: stars, gas, and dust. It was first postulated by Jan Oort in 1932 to account for the orbital velocities of stars in the Milky Way and by Fritz Zwicky in 1933 to account for evidence of "missing mass" in the orbital velocities of galaxies in clusters. Subsequently, many other observations have indicated the presence of dark matter in the universe . . . ." -- Wikipedia

The "info" is the observable gravitational effects, etc. But that "info" may not be connected to matter at all: Dark matter may, or may not, be "something material;" for the present, nobody knows.

But on a more philosophical note: Whereas physics in the Newtonian era tended to view the universe as a machine, post-Einstein physics tends to view the universe as a processor of information--a computer. (Check out "The Matter Myth," by physicists Paul Davies and John Gribbin.)

In this view--neither suggested nor endorsed by those authors--God may not need to have "info existing without being attached to something material," because the entire universe itself might be (in some sense) "the mind of God." And that makes your question moot.

I can't really say anything except maybe, radio waves and television waves, do carry info and they are not material.

And it is believed by some, that our brains are just transmitters and receivers, sending information out to a place unknown, which I call Cosmos. And we are also receiving from this place. We can access this information, by using our brains as a receiver, and as we grow older, sometimes accessing some information is difficult.

Psychics can access this information because their brains are more susceptible to doing that then our brains are ( we do not use not even half of our brain, there is a lot that can be done with our brain, if we could only know how to do it. People who are autistic, use a different portion of the brain, and can do fantastic things) Psychics can therefore sometimes access the area once used by a deceased person, and get information from it. IF the area was within the brain, it would not be accessible by psychics, but they can do this, so I think these areas are OUTSIDE the brain and on a common area where all of our thoughts and memories are kept. Like a huge never ending library.

"This would also negate souls and spirits because they are claimed to be info without matter."

Wasn't this what you were ASKING for? "one example of info existing without being attached to something material?'

And then you say, you negate this infor?

Lol but the information came from a mind one way or another, may that be through computers or other means, originally, a mind designed all these things. Information come from minds, and it isn't reducible to the means by which it is translated. 1+1= 2 isn't attached to matter. That is a principle that would still be true if matter didn't exist at all whatsoever.

From thoughts all material things find their existence...Mind over matter.

Besides it is not up to Christians to force you to believe anything.

We are simply a messenger, what you choose to do with Gods message

is completely up to you, that's called Free Will.

Also if I take away all the written and recorded documentation, it is not lost

into oblivion as you say...It is still ingrained into the minds of people who have

memorized bits and pieces of it.

So just because thoughts and memories cannot be measured by your standards

does not mean that they do not exist.

you did a bad thing as a youth, now with Christ Jesus in your body, Almighty God can still Live Amongst You, so you are still aware that you did it, but it is not attached to your person, that is Salvation.
