I do and I say its a privilage and a responsibility and very important, because I place value on eternity...

Job 28:7-8 says: " There is a path which no fowl knoweth
and which the vulture's eye hath nt seen. The lion's
whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by
it" Yes, there is a path which the fowls of this life do not
know about, and which the eye of the vulture has not
seen. That path is the PRAYER. Prayer is the path upon
which you can walk and the enemy cannot even reach
us. The Bible tells us in (1John 5:18) " We know that
whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one
toucheth him not." It is the path we can walk- a path we
can climb as an eagle into the heights of the super-
natural and deep things of God. Yes, that path many
times will bring us to a place where God will begin to
change us. God will begin to shape our life and turn it
upside down if necessary to draw us closer to Him and to
teach us the things that He would have for us to know.
Romans 8:26-28: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we
know not what we should pray foras we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that
searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because he
maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know
that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who
are the called according to his purpose.

You asked a GREAT question! I think prayer is an awesome gift given to all believers. It truly humbles me when I think that my prayers (and your prayers) reach the ears of a loving, and powerful God who created everything there is. Luke chapter 1 verse 37 - For NOTHING is impossible with God. That's my favorite Bible verse. It gives me hope.

Whatever faith we are from... prayer is an important aspect. Prayer is the realisation that there is something/someone greater than our conscious selves and THAT something is the Perfect Power we all seek to commune with.

Prayer isnt always about bowing and solemnness, even Atheists pray, but for Atheists they commune between their greater mind and hearts, in psychology there is I think the conscious, sub-conscious and super conscious mind, and the Super conscious is the Power which atheists commune with... the Superman within themselves. For others they commune with the Divine through the ourpouring of the heart.

Prayer is NOT about Asking for blessings or wishes, but about Giving and Surrendering your inner most vulnerabilities to your God/ Mind. With the heart lightened from emotional burdens, seemingly impossible things can be achieved.

And for the Spiritual Minded, surrendering means you will have the gates of Blessings from the Gates of Heaven at your service, to protect, inspire and motivate you in times of severe trauma.

This could be a checklist for the longest question on checklist. The shorterst prayer is: "help!" i'm an employer believer in following the Bible and Jesus in Matthew financial disaster six tells me that actual prayer comes from the middle, no longer a e book. Prayer is, even with each and everything, chatting with God. Pastor paintings

Prayer is meditation, focus, hope, optimism and enlightenment all bundled into one. Even without the spiritual factor, these are all healthy emotions to relieve stress. And most importantly, there is a sense of communication, which many of us miss in our lives with other people. When we pray, we feel a connection. And whether people choose to pray or not, I definitely see there is an obvious mental and psychological benefit.

Prayer is important it is mans only way of communicating with God the Bible says we should pray without ceasing, another verse of the bible says that the effectual and fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much. Do not listen to all the dumb people out there who declare that prayer is irrelevant, wait until they stare death in the face then listen to the words of their mouth..

I understand people who pray as it is some sort of self suggestion to make them able to live in a cruel world, where both you and me are responsible for how it is today. The two of us can't change the world, but if more people get together and work for a better world without wars, starvation, unemployment, lack of democracy et cetera. You can add a long row of what we failed to do can't you?

Yes dear pray is very important. God loves for us to come to him. It makes his day when his children talk to him. I have learned to go with a prayer in my heart all through he day.

Prayer is very important especially when you stretch out your staff and command world events into place in Jesus's Name just like Jesus did. Prayer is so important that you can't survive as a Christian without it.

I believe 1 john 5: is in reference to Christ ......

All things work together for the honor and glory of God .......

Jesus said to pray in your secret place ( a place where no man can notice ) that's to keep us from getting too proud and haughty...

pray like you're talking to your father , he is our father ......speaking if which ...THE OUR FATHER IS THE ONLY PRAYER WE HAVE THAT IS A TEMPLATE FOR THE METHOD OF OUR PRAYER ...... He does shape our lives and he hears all of our prayers .but it is important to be careful of what it is you pray for .....

Well said.

As a Christian, my entire life should be a prayer... an offering of praise ... an offering of love... to the Christian God.

This is an ideal that I often fall short of.

Cordially,

John

It's very important... especially when we feel alone and lost in this world... We can (and should) always turn to and bow down to our Lord and ask for help and give thanks for the good in our life. The more we pray, the more we are at peace.
