LDS: How important is birthdate to church records? It would seem that my documentation has been screwed up.?

Most things are right, however, it would seem that when my husband died the year of my birth was transposed. This was predicated on my Temple recommend, and further in the Church's record of my son's death. What do I do about it or need I at all?

The ward clerk can help fix that. I would do it.

Easy fix, but something that does need corrected (otherwise, you risk screwing up temple ordinances for your family members later). You can probably just go to your bishop or ward clerk and ask him to make the necessary changes on the church records. At the very least, he'll know who to talk to about it.

Since even governments like to use church records due to their accuracy you may want to go make sure all the information is correct. It may even matter for you later.

It is important. Call your ward clerk and ask him to fix it.

You might want to get it corrected, just to be on the safe side.
