why do people say santa clause doesn't exsist?

He did exisit. he was based on a real person. Isn't it much easier to explain that to a child rather than saying Santa Clause never exisited. Isn't that a lie?

well I think mostly because parents want acknowledgement for the things they get their children... afterall.. they did work hard to afford it.. most of the time.. and Santa Clause is based on a real person.. but that person has since passed... its a sweet little story to tell your kids.. and to each their own.. personally.. i would probably not tell my kids.. i want them to focus on the real true meaning of Christmas...the birth of Jesus Christ!

It is much easier to explain to a child that the reason for the season is that it is the day that we celebrate Jesus' birthday.



Parents buy Christmas gifts for their children, not Santa. He hasn't stopped by our house in real life ever. He does not and has not existed. Sure there are lots of people with good hearts and whose hearts have been mean and turned soft and have given to charities, etc. but no Santa exist.



Just do away with the misery of a child learning later on that there is noone coming down the chimney with a big red bag full of toys made by elves hoisted in a sleigh by flying reindeer. If you can honestly believe that Santa exist, then why don't you believe that what he is doing is not civil. He has put to work some elves who are slaved the whole year around. Is that civil? Don't they have rights? Do the elves need a union? They never get to leave the North Pole but Santa does!! That's not right.



Anyhoo, people in the world always substitute and replace Jesus Christ and everything that He is about with something else. It is a cultural cushion. It is much easier to make up something that to believe in Someone who was here before time began.



JESUS IS MY SANTA CLAUSE. HE GIVES ME LIFE, BREATH, AND SUPPLIES EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE AND WILL EVER NEED.



Kids deserve to know the truth. Harry Potter is enough fantasy. Let the holidays be filled with as much truth as possible. Santa Clause needs to come to my house and bring me some money for all the stuff that my grandchildren want for Christmas if he exist.

Unless your talking about the Turkish bishop St. Nicholas who the folklore adopted and built upon, there is no Santa Clause. Especially because St. Nicholas is dead.

The Santa Clause that children are introduced to never existed. While the story of Santa Clause is rather benign, its not healthy for any child to believe in Santa Clause probably after the age of 8 or 9.

santa clause didnt exist. santa claus could possible have existed but theres not really any solid proof. the whole story of some russian dude named nicholas is hearsay. but that person is pretty far from a guy who lives in the north pole and flies around the world delivering children presents via the chimney. so to say santa claus previously existed is just as misleading as a guy who gave people presents once in a while doesnt really compare with the fable of santa claus.
