is psychic James Van Praagh a fraud?

some of the things he writes about seem so true and real and that he knows what he is talking about. but when you watch him in interviews sometimes he seems as if hes just guessing. What do you think?

If you believe that all psychics are frauds, since James is a psychic, then he must be a fraud (this is what the other answers seem to be saying). However, if you start with the assumption or belief that psychic phenomena do in fact occur and that the premise of James' writings has some validity, then you will find there ARE good and bad psychics--those who definitely have a gift for tuning into the energy that the rest of us may miss, and those who are just faking it. I have seen James live and unfortunately, I think he is in the latter category. He has some talent, but it is fairly marginal as psychics go and he goes beyond his abilities in the need to self-promote.

He's guessing. It's called Cold Reading.

"Psychic" James Van Praagh has a funny name, and yes, he is a fraud.

All psychics are frauds. Otherwise they would've gotten $1 million from James Randi's challenge.

You can bet your bottom dollar he's a fraud. Heck, he's not even a particularly good cold reader (using magicians' techniques for gathering information about the people he "reads").

Of course he is.

I can state that with confidence, and have never heard of him.
