I'm looking for Bible references and allusions. They can be anywhere from movies to art to literature, and everything in between. I'm mostly interested in company names and brands with allusions and references. I know a lot from the book of Genesis and the book of Exodus, but what about from other places?

Anything referencing Jezebel (it's become a word in English) or Delilah.

In "Bewitched", the mother witch was named Endora. The witch that Saul visited lived in Endor - that's where they got the name "Endora" from.

Allusion is a reference to a place, event, or literary work, either directly or by implication - It is Left for the reader to make the connection. Allusion makes sense when one has prior knowledge of the reference.

For example, Langston Hughes's poem, "Harlem" is an allusion to the play, "A Raisin in the Sun."

Further, if you are reading something about companies and brands, whatever you are reading must have an allusion, refereing to the bible, to be consider an allusion. Wish I could help some more...but here's a bible verse,

"Blessed are you who fear the LORD,

who walk in his ways!

For you shall eat the fruit of your handiwork;

Blessed shall you be, and favored."
Very much in love with God.

I think reading Genesis should be fine. Really the only thing you need to be really familiar with is the story of Cain and Abel, but knowing about Creation and the Garden of Eden should help too. No need to read the whole book of Genesis unless you really want to. I hope you enjoy the book!
