What is the correlation between international adoption and karma and rebirth?

I am new to understanding Buddhism and karma and rebirth. I was adopted from South Korea before I was born, and arrived in the USA when I was three months old. My question is how does karma work with rebirth since my ethnic and regional origin was from Korea? Would my past lives, including past Karmic influences, have been of Asian descent? Would this cause some kind of karmic discord because of cross-culture confusion?

Thank you for your help :)

well, to start off, you need an introduction to karma and rebirth in the buddhist perspective. the previous knowledge you have is karma and rebirth according to the hindu religion (which has some similar words in buddhism but with very different meanings). for buddhism, the buddha only taught suffering and the way to the end of suffering. how does the hindu perspective of karma and rebirth work? they use the physical karma and rebirth; meaning that this physical body if being reborn and this physical body is doing the karma and getting the results. this interpretation cannot lead to the cessation of suffering. for the buddhist point of view, it is a mental karma and mental rebirth. this means that every time a thought of ego arises, that means you are reborn. "i am pretty/smart/stupid/suffering/not suffering...". anything with "i" is the ego. karma is the habitual things that a person does. why choose coffee over tea, or tea over coffee, or just plain water? this is because of our previous attitudes and mental forces. this is karma in buddhism.

so, your karmic influences would have been to a certain extent, buddhist values, korean values and a mix of western values. would it cause discord? that depends on how you handle your present situation. are you being bullied? how are you facing this situation? are you happy? your present actions will shape your future thoughts and will be your mental attitude and be your karma.

i hope this helped. have a nice day!

Possibly there isn't any in the sense that you expect it. The laws of karma are about how harming others comes back as harm and misery to yourself, and helping others comes back as happiness for yourself.

In what form or shape that suffering or happiness comes back depends on a nearly infinite number of influences. Perhaps you have heard the example that the wings of a butterfly might have enough influence to make a change in the weather in a few weeks time; I suppose that's a bit similar to how complex karma can actually work out.

According to Buddhism, we have probably already lived a numberless times, so it's extremely likely we have all lived in about every place on earth, and maybe even on other planets, who knows?

So I suppose you think way to small...

each and all the folk interior the slums are no longer criminals.however, i've got confidence that we are able to uplift the same old of existence of the poor. What they lack is solid training, expertise approximately well being and hygiene and social duty.A nicely planned and completed training will supply them self-self assurance and a flair to excel.God isn't partial. have you ever heard the asserting-we gain what we sow? What we go through or get excitement from is the end results of our own strikes. those strikes-psychological, verbal and actual- flow away impressions that are latent.they're noted as Vasanas. We adventure those Vasanas in our existence-time. from time to time, we would desire to take rebirths to be free of any Vasanas. Being people, it is te time to offer up any added accumulation of Vasanas. Our reviews are the realisation of the Vasanas.we are no longer right here to bypass judgement on the poor and helpless.we are right here to help them to come again up in existence.

I don't think you're going to find much solid information on rebirth or karma, but I've met many people who were raised in cultures completely different from their parents and they did ok.

there is nobody. there is no race, no ethnicity. there is only law that runs in the background. mirage is temporary existence. life is too insignificant although we make it big individually.

one dive here, one wouldn't come up at the same spot but still in the water. one dies here, one would reappear anywhere in the cycle of life just as anything that has mind and body.
