I want to buy the Tanuch in Hebrew with the English translation and I have some questions. It would be very helpful if you answer. Thanks.

1. I have heard of different translations like artscrolls and JPS. Are there any others?
2. What is the difference?
3. Can you give me any examples?
4. Which is the best translation?
5. Why is it the best?
6. Was some of the Tanuch originally written in Aramaic?
7. If so, can I get a Tanuch in Hebrew, Aramaic and English?
8. The translations aren't different in Hebrew? Just in English, right?

Not a Jew (atheist with no Jewish heritage at all) but attend synagogue and hold a special place in my heart for Judiasm.

1.) Those are two excellent ones. Online, I often reference the one found at http://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/63255/jewish/The-Bible-with-Rashi.htm is an excellent one as well, which allows you also to see Rashi's commentary on any given verse as well.

2.) The English.

3.) Not off hand.

4.) Any of the three I mentioned should be good. Cross-reference all three for best accuracy.

5.) Cross-reference will allow you to pick up subtle nuance at times that would be lost in single translation.

6.) No. (EDIT: I stand corrected. Parts of Daniel and all of Ezra upon further research do seem to have been written in Aramaic.)

7.) NA

8.) Correct.

I am not Jewish, but I like The Jewish study Bible: Jewish Publication Society Tanakh translation for the scholarly & historical notes.

I am not a Jew, but I do study the Tanach. The one that I have found to be very accurate is the "Stone Edition". It has a commentary as well, which I bet you can guess I don't totally agree with. But it is very helpful in interpreting the prophetic writings and wisdom literature.

If you would like to know how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the first Testament please let me know.
