Several Churches across the nation say yes and plan on doing that today, i say NO WAY.
Here is why. Sometimes Satan is reborn into various famous and evil individuals throughout history. Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, and yes Bin Laden. Thus, why should i pray for the Devil?

Also he is already dead and burning in Hell for eternity-which nothing can change. Your prayers can not save him now. His fate has been sealed thus what good is praying for him going to do anyways, other than to make those praying feel good as if they are doing the right-moral thing? Are they really praying for him or simply praying for themselves because they believe its the right thing to do?

If there is a god he's going to put bin Ladin in Heaven, Hell or purgatory as he sees fit. Whether you pray for him or not.

So pray for him if it makes you feel better, but realize that that's all its for - to make you feel better.

It's not going to influence Gods thinking on the matter of where to store his soul for the rest of time.

No. Do not pray for anyone who is dead:

Belief in reincarnation is expanding rapidly today. It is not teaching biblical? The dead are dead and it is over at that point.

"The living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing. ... Neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6.

The Bible Says

After death a person: returns to dust (Psalms 104:29), knows nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5), possesses no mental powers (Psalms 146:4), has nothing to do with anything on earth (Ecclesiastes 9:6), does not live (2 Kings 20:1), waits in the grave (Job 17:13), and continues not (Job 14:1, 2).

Why would I pray for Bin Laden? He's dead. There's nothing I can (or would) do to change that outcome now. I'll reserve my prayers for his victims and their families, that they may find some closure and peace.

Jesus would have prayed for him ... but I'm not Jesus. I am one who has, however, lost two friends to radical Islam, and have seen first hand the damage which is done.

I'm not one who holds the traditional beliefs in Heaven and hell, so to me, Bin Laden is simply gone, never to harm anyone ever again.

I take it you just carry your Bible around as an idol rather than actually reading it.
