What do you think about deepak chopra and his books and views on spirituality??

What do you think about deepak chopra??
do you like him? why or why not? and if you dont like him what religeon are you and what are your beleifs??

I've read several of his books. My impression is that Chopra is a mind-over-matter, inspirational, self-help, pop psychologist with a Hindu twist. A kindred spirit to Wayne Dyer. Chopra is heavy into Transcendental Meditation as you'd expect of a disciple of the high priced guru to the rich and famous Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.



He's also a medical doctor. Some of his material is about Ayurvedic medicine and is very controversial.



I don't have really strong feelings about Chopra. His books are fairly interesting but it is my experience that self help books seldom actually help people. Your mileage may vary.

I don't like Chopra but think much of his info is very good. I don't like him b/c he takes people away from ultimate truth; God in Christ Jesus.

his books must be good. he's made enough money on them. but then so has stephen king and agatha christie.

his books are interesting, but i'm not into his spiritual stuff really. i'm a muslim and we aren't into hinduism. (at least i read he was hindu.)
