Question:
Have Jehovah's Witnesses demonstrated their Christian Love to their "enemies" ?

I have decided to exit "Yahoo Answers", to attend to my new Christian ministry.

I had blocked over 175 Jehovah's Witnesses due to their name-calling events, and personal attacks.

I unblocked all of them as a demonstration of Christian love and acceptance, and also in response to their requests that I give them the opportunity to answer in a constructive, Christian manner.

My questions have gone unanswered, and the very few I did receive were again peppered with personal adjectives.

This question is meant to provoke an answer from Jehovah's Witnesses, and any others who wish to comment.

Do you believe that Jehovah's Witnesses have demonstrated a loving Christian personality towards all here, regarding the questions asked?

This will be my last question for Yahoo Answers.
I know it will most likely be deleted, as was a very important question regarding the "anointed class" just this week.

Please, how do you show your Christian love to your enemies?

Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christians, because they only believe Jesus is an angel, not the Son of God; or God Himself. They do not yet have the love of God shed abroad in their heart by the Holy Spirit as Christian have, and cannot show love like God does. ONLY Christians have the love of God, because only Christians have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Romans 10:8-10 is how anyone can be born again. We show our Christian love by action to help others, as God directs us. It may be giving food, money, or time; or whatever they may need that God will reveal.

I have not been on Yahoo Answers that long, and am not familiarized with your questions. You say your questions have gone unanswered, why? Have your questions been constructed to mock or to imply false things about Jehovah's Witnesses?

I have been a JW for over 30 years. I was raised a Catholic, but at 16 learned what the Bible teaches and made my choice. Nowhere will you find the type of love and unity that JWs experience. No matter what Ex-JWs say, and there are many here, we are not out to brainwash people nor are we a cult. We believe in Jehovah God, his Son Jesus Christ, and believe that God's kingdom is the only answer to mankind's problems. We have solid Biblical proof behind what we teach, and 7 million JW around the world all believe the same thing and in the meetings held in the thousands of congregations worldwide, the SAME thing is taught and considered at each of these congregations, whether in the rainforests of South America or the larger cities around the world. What religious organization can say that this is the case with them?

We love all people, regardless of race or faith. After all our Heavenly Father is not partial. Acts 10:34. No, we are not perfect and there may at times be personal differences, but nothing is truer regarding JWs than what is written in John 13:34, 35.

Thanks for your question. Healthy constructive conversation is good. (And by the way, John 1:1 does say that Jesus is the Word of God, meaning that he spoke for God and delivered messages. But Suzy was referring to the Bible being God's written word.) :-)

What Does The Watchtower Say About Apostates?

We must hate in the truest sense, which is to regard with extreme and active aversion, to consider as loathsome, odious, filthy, to detest. Watchtower Oct 1, 1952, Page 599 par 11 - 13

'Hate what is bad. ……….. then in order to hate what is bad a Christian must hate the person with whom the badness is inseparably linked..

The Watchtower, July 15, 1961, page 420

'You have seen the benefit of godly love, but do you know how to hate? These very strong words are an expression of godly hate, and you too must have this quality to be pleasing to God.

The Watchtower, July 15, 1974, page 442

….a Christian must hate in the Biblical sense of the word those who have inseparable attached themselves to the badness.'

The Watchtower, October 1, 1993, page 19

What Does Jesus Say?

Jesus said, 'Love your enemies. ... Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Luke 6: 26 - 37.

Jesus said, 'Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.' Matthew 5:44. 2 Cor. 11:12-15; 2 John 1: 9 - 11; Luke 6: 35

Mat 5:43 You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."

Mat 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you,

Luk 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.

John 13:34, A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Romans 12:14, Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

1 John 2:9-10. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.

Mattthew 6:12 and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors.

Mattthew 6:14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

2Co 11:13 For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

2Co 11:14 Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light?

2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

Since the Watchtower disagrees with Jesus, critics say they can't be God's organization. Jehovah's Witness believe that Satan the Devil opposes God and the entire world is controlled by Satan. Since they are not following the instructions of Jesus, could their organization be controlled by Satan as well?

(Compare this with what the Bible says, Luke 6:35 - 37, Matt 5:44 )

Jesus did not mean for us to love the hardened enemies of Jehovah'

Being a baptized Witness, we show our ginuine respect and brotherly love to everyone we meet by being courtious and thoughtful of others before ourselfs. By preaching and showing people the truth about god(Jehovah) we show our love to Him. Though we make our mistakes(we're not perfect) we strive to reach out to people and show our christian love.

Concerning love for our "enemies", we do not participate in wars or politics of any kind, even when threatened with death. History can prove this by doing some research on the German Halocaust. Thousands of our dear brothers and sisters lost their lives in order to show our loyalty to god. The reason we show such nuetrality is1) that in a war the opposing sides' witnesses would be killing other Jehovah's Witnesses and 2) we show love to others by not going and killing people despite the hatred and opinions of anybody.

I'm in school right now so i couldn't site any scriptures(though i'd love to), but if you have any other questions or would like to start a free bible study with any local Witnesses contact my e-mail(i check it often) at epicawesome221@yahoo.com. Sorry if i didn't answer the way you'd want me to.

I believe this is the first time I've ever seen you here. If I have ever given you sarcastic or rude answers, I'm sorry. Please remember that JW's are also human just like you are and we have bad days also so we may have an attitude at times as well. We are sinners and continue to ask Jehovah God to forgive our sins.

I just did.

Edited: Ernie, you have wrong info. We do believe that Jesus Christ is just who he said he is according to the Word of God. He is the Son of God.

all true christians are to exhibit the fruits of the spirit. we are not to use abusive speech. if anyone jw or not claims to be a christian yet speaks in an abusive manner they are really just shining a light on their own sin aren't they.

It depends on who you are. Most opposers only see the worst and will not give credit where credit is due. You wanted to sling mud because of your hatred for Jehovah's Witnesses. You lied about everything we are and do. You went the extra mile.

To answer your question, I do not view you my enemy. You are misguided but not an enemy. We are on opposite sides of a major issue. You are turning into a Trinitarian and I am a Christian. Jesus will judge everybody and hopefully he will remember the good you have done on the past.

Good bye

I've always answered kindly on here. I've never been rude or un classy at all. I've also answered your questions many times without being rude. I know you've blocked me before because I may struck a nerve. I don't care though, if you block me. It isn't like I know you.

The jehovah cult utilizes classic mind control techniques to control its adherents. The cult begins by welcoming the target into the cult. It's all smiles and hugs at fist. The cult then forbids the target to associate with anyone that is not also a cult member, including family members. Once the cult has established itself as the target's only support network, the cult threatens expulsion from the group (the jehovah cult calls this disfellowshipping) if you disobey your cult handlers in any way.

Very few people have true enemies. Most have people they don't like or disagree with, but not really enemies. Kill your enemy.

JW's are questionable as Christians. It isn't easy to show love toward enemies, I will admit that.

Depends on the enemy:

NonJW's are an Enemy of God so they will try to recruit....

EXJW's are an enemy of a completely other sort and the WBS advises this:

Hatred

The direction given in the Watchtower goes strongly against Christian examples when demanding members hate an apostate.

"The obligation to hate lawlessness also applies to all activity by apostates. Our attitude toward apostates should be that of David, who declared: Do I not hate those who are intensely hating you" Watchtower 1992 July 15 pp.12-13 Christ Hated Lawlessness Do You?

"Apostasy is, in reality, a rebellion against Jehovah. Some apostates profess to know and serve God, but they reject teachings or requirements set out in his Word. Others claim to believe the Bible, but they reject Jehovahs organization and actively try to hinder its work. When they deliberately choose such badness after knowing what is right, when the bad becomes so ingrained that it is an inseparable part of their makeup, then a Christian must hate (in the Biblical sense of the word) those who have inseparably attached themselves to the badness. True Christians share Jehovah's feelings toward such apostates; they are not curious about apostate ideas. On the contrary, they "feel a loathing" toward those who have made themselves God's enemies, but they leave it to Jehovah to execute vengeance."Watchtower 1993 October 1 p.19

"Haters of God and his people are to be hated, but this does not mean that we will take any opportunity of bringing physical hurt to them in a spirit of malice or spite, for both malice and spite belong to the Devil, whereas pure hatred does not. We must hate in the truest sense, which is to regard with extreme and active aversion, to consider as loathsome, odious, filthy, to detest. Surely any haters of God are not fit to live on his beautiful earth. The earth will be rid of the wicked and we shall not need to lift a finger to cause physical harm to come to them, for God will attend to that, but we must have a proper perspective of these enemies. His name signifies recompense to the enemies." Watchtower 1952 October 1 p.599

Jesus and Paul both said we should not hate but rather love our enemies. This was to apply even when someone is attacking our faith and practice.

Matthew 5:44-45 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust,"

Romans 12:17-21 17 Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, as far as it depends upon YOU, be peaceable with all men. 19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah. 20 But, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head. 21 Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.

When discussing a person seduced by apostasy Paul said at 2 Thessalonians 3:15 And yet do not be considering him as an enemy, but continue admonishing him as a brother.

When discussing that for everlasting life it is necessary to love your neighbor as yourself, Jesus used the illustration of the Good Samaritan to explain who ones neighbour is. (Luke 10:25-37) The Jews regarded the Samaritans as apostates of the Jewish religion, yet Jesus says our love is to encompass these people as well.

As long as you are doing what makes them happy and agrees with their teachings, then yes, they will show you all of the Christian love they have.
