Question:
Does anyone seriously believe that the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society is not just a huge profit machine?

For a century they lashed other religions for soliciting donations, yet when they lost their court case against the tax authorities, hey presto-all WB&TS literature was from then on to be given away & a donation solicited, in order to pay as little tax as possible. Do they think God is short of cash?

No, you're absolutely correct. It's all big business. That explains why when you write to the society about serious offenses going on within the kingdom halls, they give you the brush-off because they don't give a rat's behind.

It's just how "they" run their corporation.

Check out Pacer's website on all the lawsuits filed against them and how quickly they are dismissed due to "gag orders" being imposed when the make the pay-outs to victims. It's all BIG BUSINESS. That's what saddened me the most.

Society = Cult

The only people who do not believe that the WBTS isn't a profitable business are of course the sales reps - JW's.

It is indeed a very wealthy organisation.

And coincidentally a privately owned org (owned by fellow JW's) also runs a coach/travel company that does tours to Bethel at extortionate prices!

Let's hope that it is a huge profit machine.

Everything tries to be a profit machine. Non-profit status just means who gets the profit. Owners don't get the profit. But everything needs profit - income above expenses.

The WTBTS did not have a court case against tax authorities.

That was about sales tax which we would not have to pay, we would be the middleman and we tried to make it so we would not have to do it.

No one should pay tax because the government should earn its money.

And yes all other religions are of the devil.

Ask them if Jesus got here in the flesh. Then ask the place he became earlier He got here? you will see them averting the question. Then ask them if their translation says that God became manifested into the flesh one million Timothy 3: sixteen And confident you're fabulous approximately your question. save finding you will locate plenty plenty greater. Ask them what the testimony of Christ is the spirit of prophesy potential, and then factor out the Spirit of Christ in the hot as being one and comparable to in the previous testomony. The spirit of prophesy in the previous, that which became and whom spoke to the prophets in the previous which contain Moses (i'm , that i'm) Is the now the hot testomony be conscious made flesh, Jesus Christ. If all and sundry understood John one million: 3 All issues have been made by way of Him (THE be conscious) and devoid of Him ( THE be conscious) became no longer something made that became made' they could see Jesus because of the fact the be conscious. basically the actuality edwah z j

Why is it a huge profit machine when they are not on TV like some churches asking for prayer offerings. They don't pass a basket around at their meeting locations. They don't get donations for all the publications that they offer. So, your point is. Maybe you should question your place of worship, why they pass the basket around or why many of your churches still ask for tithes. Just make sense, come on now. Who's the profits machine? The dollars you give to your organizations by them big houses and fancy cars. Profit machine?!?!?! Do they think GOD is short of cash?, NO, but he needs a whole city in Italy. How much money do they have if you know so much? While your at it how much do the catholics, protestants, morman, baptist, etc. have? Better yet how much to you have? cause your thread isn't worth 2 cents.

Hmm, that's interesting

John 15:18 (King James Version)

John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

You're entitled to your opinions. Oh well, your "loathe" of Jehovah's Witnesses is expected. Jesus Christ was hated and look what they did to him.

Jesus was loved by the people and hated by the scribes and pharisees.

The Watchtower turns their students into gnostic teaching saturated pharisaical scripture lawyers that love to debate.

To back up this teaching they

cherry pick verses using them out of context,

have a bible based on the 'poisoned well' manuscripts of Westcott and Hort,

claim that anyone else's teaching is work of Satan the Devil.

To me, when there is a Society involved, it always comes to the point that they want the most money they can have. All for the betterment of the Society

I disagree. I do not think that it is for the sole purpose for generating profits. I believe that WB&TS is a HUGE PROPAGANDA machine.

It is something that Christians (as well as other faiths) should be concerned about.

they also made false predictions, destroying the lives of many JW families during those times they sold their properties and abandoned their happiness.

What a stupid fool you are, filled with hate and anger toward the only people doing God's will. You are certainly not doing God's will by spreading these lies.

Please give reference or public record of "their court case against the tax authorities" - I am not familiar with such.
