Hi there, some people say Jesus is GOD in Human form, if he did come in human form why would GOD kill him self for your sins this does not make sense at all.

Jesus son of god, some people say jesus was son of god and he came and died for our sins, why did god send his only son to die for your sins ( please dont quote to me this " For god so loved this world he gave his only begetton son " because i dont believe in Jesus as a son of god or is god. i believe that Jesus was a Prophet of God, just like all the other prophets. Jesus did not die, for our sins he was sentenced to death by the jewish i think.

None, for me, i don't believe it... Its not logical... Let say i was the all powerful god, i wont even let one evil human to lay a hand on me(or even my son,Jesus) and wont let them torture me...Christians believe that Jesus(a god/son of god) died by his own creations...However in Islam, we don't believe that Jesus was a god but instead he was a prophet...

But that didnt stop Allah Almighty from saving Jesus Christ from the crucification... In fact, Jesus(Aka Isa) wasnt even tortured. The one who was crucified which was make to look like Jesus(god's power) was in fact Jesus's friend who betrayed him...

And i doubt Christians would be able to give you a good answer as it did with the previous pastors who couldn't answer Late Ahmed Deedat in the past debate videos of Ahmed Deedat with famous Christians like Pastor Stanley Josberg and Jimmy Swaggart...

My thoughts are that Jesus is the Son of God, and he is the son of man. Jesus is called the Son of God because he was made of a woman by the power and spirit of our God. He is a man. He claimed to be a man. He is not a demigod or a godman. He is a man supernaturally conceived- Luke 1:35; Gal 4:4. John 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Jesus claimed to be a man that heard the truth from God, and he is the Son of God. GOD is the Highest and is greater than Jesus -John 14:28. God is not a man, nor is he the son of man. Any time you look at any issue, you must always count and weigh the evidences on both sides, and go with the side that has more numerous and weightier evidences. That is how it ALWAYS works, in ANY facet of life. We must always go with the side that has a heavier case. That is always the true one. Folks that hold to the commonly taught Trinity, simply do not want to do this, because the Trinity is an idol to them that they are afraid to give up.

You see, they teach that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three individuals, all equal in power, equal in age, and equal in knowledge. But if you simply read the Bible at face value, and don't try to read any more into it than is there, you will see that this simply is not so.

For the evidences? They are too numerous to list here. It is really much of the Bible itself!!! However, go to this website (I do not agree on their interpretations of prophecy, but, on the point of the Truth about God vs. the Trinity, they have this dead on, my friend):

smyrna.org

While there, check out the Bible studies titled: The Love of God, The Truth about God, The Importance of Knowing the Truth about God, The Holy Spirit, The God of the Bible.

Also there, check out these books: God's Love on Trial, Spirit of Antichrist, God's Mystery Finally Understood, Who is telling the truth about God?, 100 and more mysteries of the trinity, The Formulation of the Doctrine of the Trinity

(If you ever get interested in uncovering more common Christian idols and controversies, you can study the evidences of the Bible in favor of the Three Angels Messages of Rev. 14:5-12. Using the same "weigh and count the evidences" principle, of course. But that site does not have those evidences, really.)

The Holy Spirit can help you understand that Jesus is both. God did not kill himself; only the Son died, not God.

One scripture underlines the truth.

Jesus is

God's son and is lesser than his Father.

John 5;19 Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

If Jesus WERE God, why would he say he follows his Father's INITIATIVE???

I read a book that Mohammad basically kept the Roman Catholic religion intact, but eliminated the clergy, thus eliminating the sacraments. I know that he said that Jesus was a messianic prophet. Let me know if this is right.

God is perfect, and we imperfects cannot understant Perfection nor His ways. He became incarnate to show us that He really understood our imperfections, to model for us and to let us know that He would die, the ultimate sacrifice, his life. He was the second person of the trinity. He has his own divinity, but He also had a human nature.

I do not think that we imperfects can understand Perfection. In His infinite wisdom, He has allowed Himself to present Himself to many people in many forms so that we come to know Him. Ojala, /oshala/ that He one day reveals Himself to we imperfects in whatever form He chooses. Ojala que un dia se presente a nosotros imperfectos en cual quiera forma que el desee.

Jesus is the Son of God. The son of a dog is a dog; the son of a cow is a cow; therefore the son of God is also a God.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God

And God loves us so much that He sent His Son down to us

Jesus freely accepted His death because He knew it was for the good of all man kind and he loved all of us so dearly

There was no human being who had the power to defeat death and sin, so God came Himself in the form of His son.

Great Q. - God proves life eternal through the crucifixion and resurrection. And that word is NOT reincarnation. Two different words completely.

Let me try it this way, not to convert or convince you [that must be of your own choosing], but to be clear for other interested folk who read these answers and Qs long after we have moved onto other things. Also, I was not raised in a Christian environment, but have come to the truth of Christ from knowing God even as a baby in the crib on my belly just beginning to lift my head. I am not a final authority, but speak from the truth I know in my heart.

First, let me define the word 'sin' as found in the Bible

sin = Old Testament - 'misunderstanding' (Hebrew) and also New Testament - 'missing the mark' (a Greek term used in hunting). Think of all the times Jesus said, Go and sin no more...Let he who among you is without sin cast the first stone... God's saying GET IT CLEAR DON'T MISUNDERSTAND THIS ANY MORE, QUIT MISSING THE MARK IN YOUR THINKING.

In the Old Testament God spoke directly to the highest and best of all that God created - man. Adam and Eve had direct communication with God, and still used free-will erroneously. God began to speak directly to less of man as the OT continues, Noah, Moses, etc. By the time of the New Testament, mankind had pretty much been separating mentally and in behavior from God and God's precepts and so, God puts on 'skin' and walks about in what God created, as Jesus - to say something like this,

'Who have you crucified today? Please stop. Love, God.'

In addition to that there is the resurrection point of focus to understand and reemphasize what I just wrote above. God's human creation has been given FREE WILL, so of course humanity is 'allowed' to 'kill' its form. Jesus' demonstration on the cross shows that clearly. And rather than reincarnate (which means to come into a mortal body and die and get reborn into another mortal body) Jesus was RESURRECTED in the same body, complete with the open wounds, they had not 'healed' in the sense of closing up visually. But that did not prevent Jesus, ONLY BEGOTTEN OF GOD, from eating and drinking and walking and talking and teaching after the crucifixion. This is a huge informational lesson that many balk at learning.

Jesus had no sin in him. That too is in the Bible. There could be no sin as God was walking about in a human body temple.

God so loves us that, as a patient parent, we have been given this supreme physical example. Wake up to it has been the request. [reread the above definition of 'sin' and put the 'misunderstanding' definition in place of the word sin, maybe that will help with clarity here]

Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. As long as one looks from the outside at the visual, I can understand how this question arises. But when one looks from the heart and from deep prayerful contemplative meditation, more is revealed beyond words and comprehension and that AH HA moment at last arrives.

People who REALLY believe that Jesus was just a prophet, rarely, if ever, ask this type of a Q. Basically, a seeker is the one who asks this type of a Q.

The fuss comes from people who like to fuss.

From my perspective you are free to believe as you choose.

As for me and my house, we serve the Lord.

And God has three aspects that help us out:

FATHER: Absolute Source, All That IS, The Great IAM, All-knowing (Omniscient), Everywherepresent (Omnipresent), and All Powerful (Omnipotent), Creator, Eternal ONE, Total Love

[Omnipresent part explains it as well].

HOLY SPIRIT: also known as The Comforter. The activity of God.

SON: The Compassionate One, GOD IN HUMAN FORM. The connector (no one comes to the Father except through the Son). Jesus of Nazareth, step-son of Joseph from Bethelem, out of Mary the virgin, chosen among many, grandson of Anne, demonstrated this truth.

This may help some people out there have a better grasp.

But like I said before, spiritual things are spiritually discerned.

Someone once said (I don't remember the source, sorry)

To those with faith no explanation is necessary

To those without faith no explanation is enough.

So, knowing that, I lean not on my own understanding, but on every word which proceeds out of the mouth of God.

May the blessing of God rest upon you

May His peace abide in you

May His presence illuminate your heart

Now and forever more.

I personally worship God. I talk to God directly and also in the name, nature and power of Jesus the Christ. And I am moved and guided by the third aspect of God, the Holy Spirit.

And, as Jesus said, "What is that to you? Follow me."

Thanks again for an interesting Q. :)

Peace be with you.

Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind

For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; (Isaiah 43:3)

21'AND IT SHALL BE THAT (A)EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'

22"Men of Israel, listen to these words: (B)Jesus the Nazarene, (C)a man attested to you by God with miracles and (D)wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know-- (Acts 2:21-22)

Timothy 4:3-4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Mark 12:28-29 - God is one.

Exodus 33:20, John 1:18, 1 Timothy 6:16 - No one saw God.

Isaiah 42:8 - Do not praise and worship images.

Isaiah 45:1 - "Anointed" does not mean "God".

neither.. he is the messiah

btw.. interesting you should say he died on the cross.. read what Jesus told us in the bible

Matthew 16:4

" An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah." And He left them and went away.

what is the sign on Jonah.... Jonah was thrown of a ship.. because he disobeyed Gods command.. In the sea... a fish came up and gobbled him.. He was ALIVE for 3 days in the belly of the fish praying to God and repenting before the fish threw him out on the land.. ninibarus or something..

the point is Jonahs miracle was that he stayed alive when he should have been dead.. when all thought he had drowned and died.. but he hadnt..

Matthew 26:39

And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will."

Jesus prayed to God to let the cup pass from him but still let Gods will happen..

God, the merciful God, answered Jesus's prayer and kept him alive.. and took him up in heaven with him. (the sign of Jonah) The gospel of barnabas ( a disciple ) says it was Judas isocrat on the cross and God had changed his features to look like those of Jesus so everyone mistook him for Jesus. The muslims say the likeness of him was put on another man but dont take a name. Regardless he did give the sign of Jonah. That he stayed alive while the world thought he died.

for those that say Jesus is god... it is simple

Matthew 9:6

"But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--then He said to the paralytic, "Get up, pick up your bed and go home."

Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind

so one thing is clear right from the bible.. Jesus is not God.

for those who take 'son of God' to be the literal son of God

Romans 8:14 Paul tells us about those who are led by the spirit:

“because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

Luke 3:36

“Enos was the son of Seth, and Seth was the son of Adam, and Adam was the son of God.”

Luke calls Adam son of God. why dont you worship him too..? because its common sense.. he was a creation.. just like Jesus.. if God can make Adam without a father or mother.. Jesus without a father is a lesser miracle..

dont hav a bible nearby but my interpretation is that jesus was the son of god sent down to earth to preach. god knew that jesus would be ridiculed and he allowed him to die (in his humn form) so as to show the world how loving god is and how judgmental people can be.

Both: Jesus is God And the Son of God.

That Reality blows your mind, ehe?

That's okay. Don't worry about it.

<>

Jesus teaches that there is no greater act of love that the laying down of one's life so that others will live.

With that in mind, God doesn't just espouse love - God IS love. Jesus, who is God Incarnate, carries out this teaching by laying down His own earthly life, so that all of us don't perish from our sins.

<>

If you do not believe Jesus is the Son of God, then what's the point of asking your question to begin with?

<>

But Jesus was not like all the other prophets. None of the other prophets ever claimed to be God. They merely claimed to be His messengers. Jesus claimed to be God - and performs miracles to prove He was who He says He is.

<>

Exactly, Jesus was sentenced to death. How does this disprove anything?

Jesus Christ's Witnesses Claim that Jesus is God

John 1:1 - John writes, "the Word was God." This is clear evidence of Jesus Christ's divinity. (Note: in the Jehovah's bible, the passage was changed to "Word was a god." John 5:21-22 - Jesus gives life and says that all judgment has been given to Him by the Father.

John 5:23 - Jesus equates Himself with the Father, "whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him."

John 6:38 - Jesus says, "For I have come down from heaven."

John 8:12 - Jesus says "I am the light of the world." - 1 John 1:5 - God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.

John 8:19 - Jesus says, "if you knew me, you would know my Father also."

John 8:23 - Jesus says that He is not of this world. Only God is not of this world.

John 8:58 - Jesus says, "Before Abraham was, I AM." Exodus 3:14 - "I AM" means "Yahweh," which means God.

John 10:18 - Jesus says He has the power to lay down His life and take it up again - Gal. 1:1 - God raised Jesus to life.

John 10:30 - Jesus says, "I and the Father are one." They are equal. The Jews even claimed Jesus made Himself equal to God. Jesus' statement in John 14:28, "the Father is greater than I," cannot contradict John 10:30 (the Word of God is never in conflict). Jesus' statement in John 14:28 simply refers to His human messianic role as servant and slave, which He, and not the Father or the Holy Spirit, undertook in the flesh.

John 10:36 - again, Jesus claims that He is "the Son of God."

John 10:38; 14:10 - "the Father is in me and I am in the Father" means the Father and Son are equal.

John 12:45 - Jesus says, "He who sees Me sees Him who sent Me." God the Father is equal to God the Son.

John 13:13 - Jesus says, "You call me Teacher and Lord and you are right for so I AM."

John 14:6 - Jesus says "I am the way, and the truth and the life." Only God is the way, the truth and the life.

John 16:15 - Jesus says, "all things that the Father has are Mine." Jesus has everything God has which makes Him God.

John 16:28 - Jesus says that "He came from the Father and has come into the world."

John 17:5,24 - Jesus' desire is for us to behold His glory which He had before the foundation of the world.

John 20:17 - Jesus distinguishes His relationship to the Father from our relationship by saying "My Father and your Father."

Rev. 1:8 - God says He is the "Alpha and the Omega." In Rev. 22:13, Jesus also says He is the "Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the end." The only possible conclusion one can reach is that Jesus is equal to the Lord God.

Rev. 1:17 - Jesus says again, "I am the First and the Last." This is in reference to the God prophesied by Isaiah in Isaiah 44:6, 41:4, 48:12.

Rev. 1:18 - Jesus, the First and the Last, also says "I died, and behold, I am alive for evermore." When did God ever die? He only did in the humanity of Jesus Christ our Lord and God.

Rev. 2:8 - Jesus again says, "The words of the First and the Last, who died and came to life." When did God die and come to life? In our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
