Shanghai is just a renowned international area drawing more and more interest from throughout the earth; so see what that town provides with hotelbye . Shanghai is a favorite journey location for visitors. In Shanghai you can see the marvelous Yu Garden (Yù Yuán), also known as the Garden of Happiness. That Garden addresses a place of more than 20,000 square yards and includes an outer and an internal garden. The oldest section may be the Outer Garden with more changes being manufactured in the 18th century when Sansui Tang, the park's main hall, was added. The newer and significantly smaller Inner Garden times from 1709 and includes characteristics common of a established Chinese writer's Garden: appealing little pavilions, ornamental rocks, and small hill stages, splitting surfaces and small wetlands, and even a richly furnished theatrical stage.

Shanghai is a great city. But Tokyo is absolutely wonderful, and you can drink the water in Tokyo without getting sick. Also, if you are a westerner living in Shanghai, you will be subject to government scrutiny which does not happen in Japan.

If that was my only choice, I would choose Japan. Japan out in the country side. Everything so green and beautiful. People out in the country plant all their vegetables and raise their animals. The ocean out there is so clean and the fish to healthy to eat.

There is no way I would choose a communist country!

People still just disappear in China or get imprisoned if the gvt doesnt like what they have to say. Plus you can still only have one kid in China and in Japan they are practically begging its citizens to have kids.

Tokyo because a college friend lives there. It would be great to go sightseeing with someone who actually speaks Japanese.

In my opinion, I would say japan. But that is because I'm interested in the culture and enjoy anime! If you are more "into Korea" like you said, then the trip to Korea would not only be the cheaper one, but the most important and memorable one. :)
