Why did God allow the Holocaust?

God did not destroy the wicked because he was able to find ten righteous men among them.

Why does God not prevent evil from occurring?

He never promised us a rose garden.

Why didn't God protect His chosen people?

We were chosen to be a light unto the nations, not for special privileges. The holocaust certainly caused a *spark,* but how many took notice?

I suspect God cries at the futility of His people's attempt to spread His light.

Why do you blame God for all the evil in the world? Every person has a conscience which acts as his judge, and he has the ability to know what is right from wrong. So when someone like Hitler ignores this and decides to do things that oppose his judge, then the Bible says, what he decides will be as a hot searing rod that burns his mind so that he cannot think properly anymore. The thing he chose will now be his conscience. In the case of Hitler, Satan became his conscience.

Every person will stand before God one day and give an account of their lives, and if their names are not found in the Book of Life, then they will be cast into the eternal fires of hell.

The chosen people of God are those who have had their hearts circumcised by believing in His gospel of the water and the Spirit (John 3:3-5). Its a spiritual thing not a physical thing of the Jews.

The spiritual Jews are the truly born again. Yes, God will give Israel another chance, this is when the door to the Gentiles has closed, which is about now.

The Jews are not God's chosen people today. The mantle was passed on to the Christian nation. It consists of gentiles and Jews of faith in Christ who live holy lives.

Why does God not prevent evil?

Do you really, really, want him to?

===

What would the implications be if what you ask was put into effect? Have you thought about that?

The point being that God doesn't just sweep the dirt in one corner; he cleans totally. Thus if you ask God to prevent the wicked from doing one thing, then he must globally get rid of the greedy, the murderers, the thieves, the liars, the fornicators, the adulterers, the homosexual, those who are dishonest in business practices, and whatever else other evil I have forgotten to mention.

That is what Armageddon means; during Armageddon, all the chaff is burned, which means that all those deemed wicked in God's eyes are destroyed. It may be coming soon, in however many years, decades, or whenever he sees fit to let it come.

God does help those of faith who are righteous if they request it, and that they must. There are some circumstances that permit him (so to say) to assist someone without a prayerful request, but usually the Christian must be righteous to be heard, and s/he must pray for help if it is needed.

As in Daniel's time so it is today, we live and die for Christ. If it is God's will that we live and be helped then we get help.

God's Chosen People are ALWAYS safe; suffering does not mean abandonment. (Also, HIS Chosen people are the ones who are born of His Spirit: the Spiritual Israel).

One reason God allows 'evil' is because it reveals man to man. Often natural and well-meaning men think humanity is basically good. However God allows man to act out of a free will just to show stupid, well meaning people that man is capable of horrendous acts apart from Divine Guidance.

The reasons for the Holocaust are a source of much debate in Judaism; as you might guess, there's never been a concensus of opinion, and I don't expect that there ever will be.

Ultimately, I believe that it goes back to the fact that we all have free will, and that good people, both Jew and Gentile, stood by and let it happen, whether through blindness or complacency or fear, or something else entirely. If no other good came from it, we Jews have learned a hard lesson. Never again!

God didn't protect them because currently Israel is refusing to follow God. Most of them deny that Jesus is the Messiah.

Also, this is the time of the Gentiles. The time of the Jews ended with the coming of Jesus and will come again during the 7 year reign of the Anti-Christ. Remember that Jesus warned of troubles that would affect the Jews? He also said God's chosen people are the elect...the ones whom Jesus died on the cross to save. The Jews rejected their chosen position when they crucified Jesus and refused to recognize him as the Messiah. They saw his miracles and yet their heart remained hardened against God.

As for why God doesn't prevent evil...well without evil we wouldn't appreciate the good that he does for us. Also, sin remains with us because most of the world refuses to turn to God or to follow his laws & commands.

God has also allowed the devil to rule the world. He is known as the "Prince of the Power of the Air" and the "god of this world."

Edit: You can give me a thumbs down, but you know I'm speaking the truth. God warned Israel through Moses about what would happen if they disobeyed his laws. He said that the nations around them would take the land away from them and injure them terribly. You have to follow God's laws to remain his people. God has no favorites and doesn't give anyone a pass...otherwise, he is not God.

Sodom & Gomorrah were very permanent cities that were full of evil from one side to the other. It was like 2 whole cites full of crazed Hitlers doing worse things than the Nazy one small party. If by chance it was like Sodom & Gomorrah all over Europe and Russia I think God would have done something.

we are not puppets on a string. God set the world in motion and allows it to follow its course. we choose what we will do, whether good or bad, and we choose who we follow, either God or the devil.

Ever heard of Soddam and Gamorrah, the plague of locusts, the great flood, God gets hacked off too, and because he can, who's gonna stop him

He gave us free will. You have decided to use your free will to mock God and show Him hate.

Because he doesn't exist.

Because he doesn't exist.

Because he doesn't exist.

Better than the alternative:

Because he doesn't care.

Because he doesn't care.

Because he doesn't care.

"God" is an underachiever on a legendary scale.

By the way, it's allegedly "God's" world, so it follows that it's God's rules and God's will

Who said God allowed the holocaust? If God prevented evil from occurring he would have to destroy all mankind because He declared all men evil from their youth! Who said God doesn't protect his chosen people? Are you not chosen?

Rom1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation for deliverance from eternal death to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,

17For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.

18For God's holy wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative.

19For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because God Himself has shown it to them.

20For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse altogether without any defense or justification,

21Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations and their senseless minds were darkened.

22Claiming to be wise, they became fools professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves.

23And by them the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man and birds and beasts and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves abandoning them to the degrading power of sin,

25Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).

26For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,

27And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another--men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.

28And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome,

29Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. They were full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. They were secret backbiters and gossipers,

30Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, and boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents.

31They were without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless.

32Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.
