Most of the founding fathers of the U.S. were Christians and our documents are based on it including the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and other documents upon which our governments were founded. In order to compose those documents they prayed first. God gave the wisdom to them. If you will read those documents you will have your answer. I believe you can find copies on the Internet.

That is why our present liberal Christian hating government hates those documents and the president does everything he can to obliterate the Constitution. Think about it.

If you can get hold of an original Websters Dictionary you will find some interesting things to answer your question as well. Your library may have a copy. Worth a try.

Divisiveness and ignorance of history

@ fox, are you a troll b/c everything you stated is an incendiary lie but it does provide a perfect example of what I meant by it promoting divisiveness and ignorance of history..

T. Jefferson, 3rd president and co-author of the Constitution 'said Xianity has caused a lot of bloodshed and he was the one who wanted a separation of church and state.

Not very Christian, is it?

B. Franklin was the one who said 'Lighthouses are more useful than churches'.

T. Paine was an outspoken atheist and the one who wrote 'Common Sense'.

There were others, you can 'google' it but that's what comes to mind first.

@ yahtzeem, it wasn't just the Crusades, there was the Inquisition and the Black Plague spread like wildfire in part b/c Christianity wouldn't allow much progress n the way of science, not to mention the witch hunts and genocide all throughout European, then the first part of American history.

At the time of the Crusades, ironically, the Middle Eastern countries were mostly Islamic and tolerant towards others...there math & science knowledge was much better than Europe's and the Europeans started the Crusades to get the 'holy city' back.

Your asking the wrong people!

Christianity has kept mankind from blowing itself to pieces. I am not talking about false Christianity I do not accept that the Crusades were anything but a travesty, however there it stopped the advance of Islam till the 20th century where no it is advancing rapidly because Christians refuse to evangelize to spread the Word of God.

Another effect is schools, The first Colleges and the first Doctor was only theology. If it was not for Christianity raising up the University and other types of schooling, mankind would have remained like it was in the middle ages illiterate.

those some of the top ones i know have been done.

The organization of various aspects of society. The introduction and maintenance of ideas about the nature of humanity—some encouraging and some discouraging to the human spirit.

Twentieth Century:

Helped people decide what to do on Sunday. Gave people a place to wear nice clothes. And, hats.

Gave jobs to women and men who didn't want to have responsibility for a family. (nuns, monks etc.)

No you mean "truth" = reported don't you.

Try crusades, inquisition, dark ages just as a start.

Reporting shows that one is insecure and threatened by the responses not in alignment with their perspectives.

1. Anything that isn't positive towards the cult of Christ is called "Hate", no matter how much it is based in reality. So your silly threat over reporting just shows you have no interest in anything but what you agree with. I'm so sorry you're so detached from reality.

2. We'd be colonizing Mars by now if not for the Mediterranean Death Cults of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We've had genocide, censorship, witch-hunts, inquisitions, mahogany, and an utter refusal to allow humanity to deal with reality on realities terms.

The Catholic Church alone has paid out close to THREE BILLION DOLLARS to victims of physical abuse and child rape...

Contraception is demonized and that encourages the transmission of HIV/AIDS in Africa, India, and South America...

There are 50,000 kids being tortured in re-education camps in Africa because children as young as infants are accused of "Witch Craft".

40,000 individual sects, all calling the others "Wrong", have been warring with one another since day 1.

Homophobia leading all the way to the imprisonment, torture, and murder of gays...

Correspondent Mariana van Zeller travels to Uganda, where many question whether the growing influence of American religious groups has led to a movement to make homosexuality a crime punishable by death.

As an anti-gay movement spreads across the continent, gay Africans and their families face an increasingly uncertain future of isolation, imprisonment or even execution.

On the Jews and their lies - A precursor to Nazism

✞ "My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before in the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice.... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.... When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom to-day this poor people is plundered and exploited. " -Adolf Hitler, in his speech on 12 April 1922
