Our Christian ministry is called "Beyond Sunday Morning". What specifically do you think that means?

When people see "Beyond Sunday Morning" as the name of a Christian ministry it may mean different things to different people. We are wondering specifically what the majority of people think when they see this name, and if it is indeed understood in the same way we mean for it to be taken.

to me, it means that church and christianity is "beyond sunday morning"....its not just something you get into because it's sunday and that's the time to be spiritual...it means that it's something you live with everyday...something that goes above and beyond just showing up for church....living your life for god is more than just a couple of hours on sunday morning....

I see it as a ministry that wants its members to be active and act more like Christians 24/7 instead of just Sunday mornings at church.

It means you are focusing on being more than a Sunday go to church Christian and being more of a Christian that is a Christian every day of the week.

I would take it to mean that your group promotes being and conducting yourselves as loving caring examples of what a christian should ideally be every day not just on Sundays. I'm not a christian anymore, but that is how I interpreted the name.

Presumably it means that the congregation is trying to continue "Sunday morning" behaviour throughout the week. In other words, you are trying to actually be Christians all week instead of simply showing up once a week to look at each other's new hats.

Being a christian means more than just going to church and being a christian on Sunday

To me, it means that your ministry is not just for Sunday morning! It is a way of life, letting God into every bit of every day, not just the few hours you are at Church each week.

I think it is a great name for a ministry, and wish you good luck! ;-)

This expression refers to the eighth day of the week. In the eighth day, human come to rest with Christ in heaven, and there will be no more sweat and hard labor, but peace praise and joy and wonderful things cannot be told. God sworn regarding those who disobeyed Him among the Jews that they shall not enter into His rest. That is what meant by beyond the Sunday morning. It is joy, happiness love, praise and great thing as we come to rest with the Lord.

Say, believe, and practice "not my will, but yours (Jesus') be done." Listen and be aware of the Holy Spirit's direction in your every day life. Be ready to obey when asked. Love others. Be a promise keeper. Be kind. Be ready to give others an answer about why you believe in Jesus. Be responsible for your own actions.

To me, it means to practice Christianity every day and not just on Sundays. It's a nice name. Keep us updated and let us know what you all mean by it.

To me it could mean one of two things. It could mean that you don't leave off worshiping and serving God when you get out of church or it could mean that you are carrying on the work of Christ who was raised from the dead on Sunday morning.

WE go to Church to WORSHIP, we leave Church to witness, though it is nice to be good little Christians on a Sunday, we must remember that is NOT what we are called to be, we are called to be Salt and Light, remember that

It means you have to walk in faith all week long, in all situations, not just when you're sitting in church on Sunday mornings.

I think it means that's a church were you became a real christian, not jut one who only atends church once a week and during the rest of the week forgets he/she is christian.l
