Atheists: Are you counting on the possibility of a ‘deathbed conversion’ … after perhaps of years of denying?

Are you counting on the possibility of a ‘deathbed’ conversion after perhaps of years of denying the evidence (Creation) for God’s existence?
Will you be one of many people who find them self unexpectedly standing before the Judgment Seat of Christ? … “sure” you had plenty of time to repent…? No one is guaranteed a tomorrow. Why not confess your sins to God, truly sorry for offending His love for you, and ask His forgiveness? He will! Turn from your sins and turn *to* God, proving your repentance is real, in faith trusting Jesus took the punishment on a cross your sins deserved. He delights in forgiving all who ask, as often as they ask, even empowering you with His Holy Spirit to do what He commands. Otherwise, if you lose eternal life, it will have been by your own choosing. He made the way for your sins to be forgiven.

Forgive me for answering as I'm a Christian, not an atheist, but I would just like to say that I have heard many atheists and agnostics say that 'there is plenty of time for me to deal with God later but for now I'm living life to the full and having a good time' or words to that effect.

These people seem to truly believe that, when they think that the time is right, they will just be able to decide that 'now' is the time to accept God and 'pave my way to heaven'.

I wonder how many people killed in battle, in road accidents, or by the hands of another person thought such things.

None of us know if we will still be alive one hour from now, never mind a couple of decades.

Those who count on a deathbed confession or a late-in-life conversion are foolish beyond belief.

Are you dounting on the possibility of a "deathbed conversion" to Odin after years of denying?

Disbelief in something that is written by man without any actual proof offends this Loving God?

Just where do you people come up with this stuff? And HOW is it that you don't see the friggin contradictions?

This is truly a pitiful attempt at trying to convert nons.

No i will not because I know much much much more evidence for why god isn't real. That's like asking you this question, "Are you counting on the possibility in converting into a Muslim after perhaps many years of denying?"

"Are you counting on the possibility of a ‘deathbed’ conversion after perhaps of years of denying the evidence (Creation) for God’s existence?"

No. I'm counting on people like you, if there is evidence, to provide it during life. Nothing else will change my mind as you and people like you have failed time and time again to give any evidence despite claiming you can.

Heck no. Obviously I'd rather not have to die at all, but if I do, I intend to die believing precisely that which is most logically suggested by the evidence. And I strongly suspect that will still be that God does not exist.

The deathbed converts were either cowards, or closet believers or their brains were mal-functioned... I don't fall in these, why cares

But, can you even count the ex-christians here?

The only conversion I'm planning for my deathbed is the one from "living" to "dead."

On the other hand, I'm sure I could be convinced to postpone my plans as long as possible.

No more than you are counting on a deathbed conversion to appease all the thousands of other deities you don't believe in.

No, and most of the "deathbed conversions" you've heard about were urban legends and didn't actually happen. The one about Darwin was spread by a contemporary named Lady Elizabeth Hope, who never actually met him.

If your god really does exist, I don't know in what kind of mind it could fit that "years of denying" are greater than "a death bed conversion".

Because, as an agnostic, neither side has conclusively proven to me that gods exist/don't exist.

Nope, not that you will listen to anything we say anyway.

Srsly, what would it matter to you what atheists thought about it? You don't want an answer from atheists and never have, since you're only here to proselytize. You NEVER listen to anything atheists say anyway, and ALWAYS pick a BA from the people that believe exactly as you do, so why even ask?

Only if u accept Odin into your heart on your deathbed... and u die in battle.

If that's too scary, how about Quetzalcoatl? Ameratsu? Krishna!!!! that's the one!

I have never seen a person change their religion or adopt one, while on their deathbed. Not once.
?

Of course not, I have clearly stated in my will that no one is to pray for me or over me and I will never succumb to the illness of religion.

Nope.

If your god's love can be 'offended' or has restrictions on it (i.e., you have to do this before you'll get it), then it is not omnibenevolent. Yet you claim it is. Try again.
