Imagine God as C.E.O. of Its corporation...?

Doesn't it seem a bit irresponsible for God to not only be unavailable for direct Q&A, but worse leave it up to Its followers to decide on what's right and wrong to believe?

Imagine if this were a corporation and God were C.E.O. God's grand leather C.E.O. chair sits empty, gathering dust in the corporate penthouse. The office is literally filled to the brim with post-its, memos, class action lawsuits, plaintive pleas, angry inquiries from underlings.

Religious leaders such as the Pope and cardinals would be high-level executives, with access to plenty of perks like travel, clothing, fine food.

Televangelists might comprise the bulk of the Sales department, pimpin' the Lord's goods for a healthy commission, but letting slide on the rules (thus inviting the aforementioned lawsuits).

Love your analogy...unfortunately, it will be lost on the fundies...who will do exactly as Big Business does and try to blame all the corruption on the underlings.

As the underlings flee the company in droves, the fundies will ultimately put all the blame on the guy the boss fired shortly after the company was founded (Mr. Lucifer) (who was probably the only one of the higher-ups who actually knew what he was doing;).

You must not have ever worked for a huge corporation if you think CEOs are available for direct Q&A. If God were the CEO, then we'd have to be the lazy slacker underlings not doing what we're told, or even what's best for ourselves in terms of keeping our jobs.

That's just great! I love it!

But what happens to the marketing people who get caught with their hands in the cookie jar? I hear that has happened a lot.
