Question:
Is the DEATH TO GAYS law in Uganda really inspired by AMERICAN Evangelical Christians?
2010-01-09 11:55:13 UTC
It is all in the last issue of TIME magazine...

There is little that Western Governments can do to talk the Ugandans out of it when American Evangelical CHRISTIANS motivated the Ugandan politicians and police officers against the gays!

This political victory is supported by American Christians! (Not long ago, Pat Robertson was promoting the political assassination of Hugo Chavez, too!)

Is this a new Christian Fundamentalist strategy in fighting the Devil to hit easier targets like gays instead of abortion clinics and MDs?

This is a serious R/S question that I hope YA won't delete!

Yes, many evangelists have found that ignorant and backwards people are very receptive to their bigotry, lies, and intolerance.

Yep, 3 American evangelicals visited Uganda and warned them of a gay "takeover" and the "promotion" of homosexuality as a fashion trend. Shortly thereafter the anti gay bill was drafted, but has come under significant criticism. It appears evangelicals could see they were loosing the battle against equality in the USA, and wanted to take the battle to Africa and try spread their hate there. Uganda is not the only African country with such draconian bills, Malawi and Nigeria have similar draft bills too...

Seems that the Evangelicals told the Ugandans that the gay movement was a conspiracy to take over the world. Scared the poor people to death!

The person who put the bill before the Ugandan government refuses to withdraw it.

NOTE: DLT...they go by their laws and their constitution, not ours.

It is absolutely TRUE! Rick Warren of The Fellowship, aka The Family, held a three-day seminar in Uganda in which he stirred up hate and resentment towards homosexuals to the point law makers, one of whom is also a member of The Family, presented death penalty legislation against homosexuals. Now Warren and his band of religious criminals are trying to back track and weasel their way out of trouble with supporters in the United States. Don't let the rhetoric of the Christian church fool you. The Christians are out to murder homosexuals and imprison their supporters. They cannot do that in the USA so they have turned their hatred on Uganda which has a high HIV rate, they blame homosexuals for. True Christians(tm) who claim they are not part of this fiasco, are in reality also to blame because they encourage this murderous behavior with prayer and donations to The Family. Some churches have signed letters asking for forgiveness for their involvement in this 'sin' (their words not mine) and have denounced the activities of Christians in Uganda and those in the US who support them. The number of Christians who do not support the bill in Uganda is minimal. The Christian church will not recover from this and is doomed to wither away.

Unless the gays change their life style you will ALWAYS have aids and other things connected to that behavior son.

In the 90's I saw a 60 MINUTES (OR A 20/20)documentary interviewing gays who were "bare backing" and they said condoms took too much pleasure away and they refused to use them and they DEMANDED the government give them a cure NOW!

They said they would not give up the enjoyment of the intimacy and they would gladly risk getting aids even if it meant spreading it further because then that might force the government to come up with a cure for it.

I remember 2 incidents from this past decade where 2 homosexual groups ,one in California and the other in Philadelphia wanted the preachers to let them preach a pro homosexual message from their pulpits, the preachers refused.

The homosexuals mobebd the churches threw bricks through the windows and screamed for the death of pastors and the people inside the churches. The cops had to be called.

When they voted in favor or against gay marriage in California the gays mobbed around people who voted against it and made threats yet the heterosexuals did not do this to the gays. The Cops had to escort the people who voted against it.

You only hear HALF the story when it comes to the news son.Unless you have been in Uganda you do not know what has went on and you do not KNOW that ANY Christians made anybody do ANYTHING.

Next , as a Christian it is wrong to kill anyone, gay or not, GOD will judge us all one day and HIS word condemns homosexuality, murder, lying, stealing etc.

And to think fundamentalist evangelical Christians call themselves religion when the truth is they are a political agenda.

Yes, yes it is. It is directly inspired by the idiot evangelicals who try to force their religion into governments.

I think that law has already been overturned.

In fairness to the American Evangelicals what they did was give seminars in Uganda about 'curing' gays. How that got translated into imprisoning and killing them, I don't know.

Why should it be deleted. It is absolutely true.

More than that, let it be a warning to all Americans about how the power of crazy-Christian talk can cause great harm.

Inspired, yes. Although, to be fair, they may not have understood in that time what their "homosexuality is abomination" policy could cause.

Christians do not support murder, of any people. God loves homosexuals, but He does hate the sin or doctrine of homosexuality. That will never change. Sometimes we may confuse the sin with the sinner, but our fight is with Satan and his demons: but sadly, the devil has the homosexuals bound to a false lifestyle, and has convinced them it is ok. Satan has taken them captive at his will ( 2 Timothy 2:26 ). We as Christians should never think we are doing God's work when it involves murder, because Jesus came to save, not to kill ( Luke 9:54-56 ). We must trust God, and He will draw the homosexuals to Himslef; those that are willing to come.

If it lets you fuel your hatred and * mountains * of text you produce on this site, you go right on believing it.

Do me a favor, make a list of * all * the abortion clinics and MDs those nasty, ol' pro-lifers have taken out.

Mind you, I'm not pro-life, I just don't see our country hunkering down in fear as though this were some normal occurrence. Of course, you * know * that, but it doesn't allow you to justify your slightly worrisome hatred you display out here.

Frankly, if mere prose were cause for concern, you'd be high on * my * watch list.

Human NewlyBor, my studies have revealed that humans who believe everything that TIME magazine says are of the lower order of intelligence within your species. I suggest that you study the sciences and not dwell within tabloids to increase your intelligence. Study harder human.
