If the answer is no (and it usually is), then what purpose do you think those proofs serve? Would it make a difference to you if the proofs were somehow made better? How would Jesus have responded to attempts to prove the existence of God?

No, they don't convince me. I'm fussy about proofs, and these are just rhetorical hand-waving.
But I don't know for certain whether the writers of these proofs thought they were convincing, either. They might have intended only to explain the CONCEPT of God in terms that made it clear the concept need not be entirely illogical. Admittedly, they might also have thought they were successfully applying logic: the boundary between rigorous thought and rhetorical flourish has always been tricky to navigate, as modern politicians frequently demonstrate. And logic was--especially to Aquinas--a relatively new tool; when you have a new hammer, everything looks like a loose nail.
I don't expect any "proof," no matter how much improved from these--or how different from them--to be convincing. Nor do I find "proofs" of God's non-existence convincing. All of them show a distinct failure to appreciate the limits of logic, which logically ought to be one of the first concerns of serious users.
I don't know how Jesus would have responded. But he MIGHT have pointed out that attempting to prove God's existence is a way of trying to reduce God to a subject manipulated by our minds--a way of putting us, rather than God, in control. He might have compared it to the hypocrisies he criticized, in which people juggled their interpretations of scripture for their own advantage.

You know the more philosophical people get the Moore confusing God, or anything, for that matter gets. You are never going to fully prove God's existence. We have a lot of great evidence. The great minds trying to intellectualize God are evidence of that. But, belief in God takes faith, if you had proof, you would need no faith.
I know it's hard to have faith in someone you can't see, especially when the people you see and have faith in may let you down all the time, but God is different. He says what He means a demand what He says. He will never leave you even if you walk away from Him. He will always love, and care for you.. The thing is, you don't get your proof till after you put your faith in Him. It's like: you know everything about the chair in front of you, the kind of wood that was used, who built it, how long it took them, what hardware they used. It should be sturdy enough to hold you, but will you trust the workmanship? You sit down, you had faith and got your proof. With Christianity, each day is another day God proves himself to us, even though He doesn't have to.
