What do you people hope to accomplish, is that the love of jesus ? Yes, everyone knows you have the market cornered on "truth" or so you say. I've noticed hate directed not only to other christian faiths , but to all other faiths in general. Yes I know, atheists are on the attack as well, but you guys are superior, right? Well you say you are. I think, you people like to hate, you need it, you thrive on it. Maybe subconsciously you really don't want to convert people, who would you hate on then? Who would you be superior to then? Ask yourself, am I really living up to the standards of Jesus, am I practicing love or hate? Does this ideology really help make me a better person, does it really make sense? Now I know from past experience that this post wont be heard, and well be met with insults. This message well also get reported and self destruct in 60 seconds.

I don't support any person claiming to be 'born again' who posts any hateful comments. But don't forget that there are many trolls on here, and that we cannot believe everybody here is who they claim to be, so many hateful posts could be deliberately sent to put born again Christians in a bad light.

Just be aware. I think Sigmund Freud had the best epiteth ever. His one reads, "The voice of reason is soft." When I get a bit hot under the collar at false accusations against Christians, I have to keep reminding myself of that! And others might need to remember that disagreement does not, in itself, equate with hatred.

There is an underlying humanity-hating sadism in conservative Christianity (and in all conservative manifestations of the major Abrahamic religions). It often seems that they do not anticipate the Rapture in order to be with their God as much as they look forward to watching non-believers suffer in pain and misery.

The are damned-near giddy as they sit in judgment and threaten people with eternal damnation. It does not seem to bother them that in doing so they are committing blasphemy - not to mention the fact that their concept of Hell was adopted from Greek mythology (via the conquest of the region by the pagan Alexander the Great) and later embellished with details taken from Medieval literature.

On Yahoo Answers there is a war raging between Christians and Atheist. Some people take a non aggressive road and some attack or counter attack. I personally love it here. I can't think of any better training for the Christian in today's world then to come and get roasted into solidifying their faith. Praise GOD for Yahoo Answers.

Here again is another generalization regarding "born agains." All Christians, at least from mainstream Christianity are born again. So why don't you just drop the born again stuff?

There are bad apples in every group btw. Atheist trolls attack Christians here more than theists attack atheists.

The majority of Christians try to defend their Faith, or their God or reveal the truth of scripture. But yes there are some that do attack the atheist, however nobody claimed that Christians are perfect. Because we're not, we're just forgiven of our sins by accepting Christ's gospel.

Now, reverse that whole paragraph and see if it doesn't work both ways? You blame Christians, and yet, espouse the very thing you blame us on. Only difference - and only in your mind - is you don't need to add God. You just do the same thing, because lack of God seems to be enough excuse in and of itself.

Drop the sardonic display, and you'll see the obvious - you get what you give.

I agree, both sides are culpable, but I disagree the cause is only from one side.

I am fully aware this is a sin area of mine. (That is not an excuse - it's accepting the blame and knowing my sins.) I am fully aware it's a sin area of yours, and I'm also fully aware you, or people like you will ram, that whole sin thing right up my butt. Why? Because you pretend you have no excuse, because you pretend there is no God, and use that as an excuse to skip manners, too.

I don't doubt what you say, that there is hate reflected in Christian answers. But all too often I find the charge leveled at those who are merely arguing their point emphatically and at times, well. You know, instead of laying down and letting the opposition kick.

I'm thinking that you are a better judge than to mean those who are doing well in arguing their side of the debate?

Agreed. Yes they really have no "higher" standard, just false pretense of morality superiority.I feel the same way about how the inconsistency of cults is beyond comprehension. That's the very point, I guess. It's all about power first, not God, so yes, I find it just an outlet for them to unleash their own personal rage. Religion is attack against reality. It is. The clear dialogue between us atheists tends to confirm it. thx

Christianity is a money cult. What the hell do you want? Answers? Consistency?

LOL That'll be the day!

MMike: Provide examples of atheists "hating".

I have always been amazed at the number of people who think the way to get someone to change their mind and agree with you is to insult them.

The result is just the opposite and closes the mind of the person they need help from or want something from.

Would you convert to a religion if the believers of the religion insult you as a person, or would you avoid them like the plague.

Atheists like to shovel the guilt onto Christians don't you? You come to a religion room and harass the religious and mock God and then cry when someone stands up to you. Give me a break!

Tell you what ............. you can play the liberal ecumenical part and let the Christians that take a stand for the word of God correct error and rebuke false doctrine.

I guess we all fall at the feet of the great giant, Hypocrisy, yes?

I see plenty of people on here speaking in the Love of God and I can literally count on one hand how many kind atheists I've spoken to on here. You're deflecting.

I've got a fundie friend, and I've got a bro-in-law who is one. They don't hate people, but they do believe that what they are doing is morally and biblically correct, and as Christians if they see atheists they are supposed to "correct" them by convincing them to believe until they do.

You must suffer some disorder. Most of the hate I see here is coming from atheist, not going towards them.
