Question:
Muslims... can animals sense divine spirits?

The Prophet said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel, And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan." (Hadith: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 522)

So, when a rooster sees the sun in the morning, and screams his obnoxious 'rooster song', he's really seeing an angel? And when a donkey flips out and kicks a person in the knees, it's because Satan made the donkey do it? Just trying to find out whether you believe this is metaphorical, or truth.

I don't believe it's a metaphor or anything else. It's just stupid!! I guess these animals don't make sounds at any other time, only for angels and demons. Why do dogs bark, cats meow, ducks quack, horses whinny, etc.?

God Bless.

They've discovered that roosters/cocks and donkeys see different color wave lengthes than human beings, so they see what we can't see.

Humans can't see below the red light wave length and not above the purple light wave length.

Donkeys see the red lights wave length, and since the devils are made from fire, therefore from under the red light wave length. That's why the donkeys see the devils but not the angels.

Roosters/cocks see above the purple light wave length, and the angels are made from light, i.e. above the purple light wave length. That's why they're seen by the roosters.

Do some work and more research before you rant next time.

And there's a major different between seeking the truth or just ranting. Trust me.

Apparently everything in Islam that is totally irrational is a metaphor...without a meaning to to the metaphor.

Edit to Muslims a metaphor must represent something.

Ahhhhh thanks Abu..demons are made from fire and since we cant see fire and donkeys can they can only be seen by donkeys....gotcha.

Yes they can.

However, as divine spirits don't exist the animals never get to sense them.

I don't have reason to believe that it is a metaphor. Does it really contradict common sense.
