Atheists, have you had your 'day in the sun', as it were?

You have had your rant in the timelessness and meaningless of existence. You ran naked in the sun and exposed yourself for a brief period, shouting "There be no God" or "There is nothing worthy"
Then what? Nothingness? Pointlessness?
What for?
Did you enjoy it? And now what?

I disagree with your assertion that existence is timeless and meaningless.
I have run naked in the sun and indeed exposed myself multiple times but have never shouted, "There be no god" or "There is nothing worthy". I feel that there are plenty of worthy things.
"Then what? Nothingness?" Nothingness is a good way to put it as far as my expectations for my personal experience. When I die my consciousness will simply cease to exist.
"Pointlessness?" No, my life has and will continue to have meaning.
"What for?" The only universal "meaning" to life that I can come up with is that life is just a mechanism for perpetuating our lineage. Not very poetic I know, but isn't life beautiful enough as it is without artificially adding meaning that just isn't there? Isn't that dishonest?
"Did you enjoy it?" Some days more than others but overall I'd have to say so far, so good.
"And now what?" I'm thinking about ordering lunch. Probably stay on Y!A for a bit until I get bored. Thanks for your interest in my plans for the day!
You're welcome.

Christians, have you had your 'day in the sun', as it were?
You have had your rant in the timelessness and meaningless of existence. You ran naked in the sun and exposed yourself for a brief period, shouting "There be a God" or "We are NOT worthy"

With death "I" will be free from the burden of survival. With death, there are no longer sensations; the cells, organisms, and all the parts that work together collectively within "me", that which creates this body will cease to function.
In essence, what I'm saying is, it is not "me" who dies, but the system that makes this body move dynamically that will cease to work in unison, which actually was never to benefit "me" but rather the system.
Humans are free to think in generalities and believe only what they perceive is understandable or "right" for it lets them find comfort and "understand" their environment and existence, but I will NOT subscribe to your idea that anything has a purpose or point other than simply to "exist".

It is a chilly -26 here (the high for the day), but it is a sunny first day of 2014. Think I'll just stay in and enjoy the warmth of fossil fuel heating.

You are the one who thinks this life is pointless, not us. And yes I have had my fun running naked in the sun.

LOL!
Yes, clearly now I will start thinking the earth is flat and animals can talk, and choose to live my life based on the ignorant rantings of racist sheep fuckers

I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But as much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking.

And still no *attempt* at a proof of the existence of a god.

You obviously don't understand the first thing about atheism.
