I do live abroad and I miss my friends but I have made new friends here in Germany. I also miss Ulster fries, and proper flavours of crisps (chips to Americans).

First, I understand you dont like him, but some many of these are debatable. I am not voting for either candidate, but I dont feel its appropriate to use debatable points like this. For insance, he did not destroy 5 aircraft, they were shot out from under him. Also he did not cause the accident on the Forrestal, his aircraft was hit by a missile that misfired off another aircraft into his, not the other way around. He did ditch his wife, but so have half of the rest of this country so thats not a valid point. He was involved in the keeting 5, but he was also involved in the huge reforms made afterwards, which leveled the playing field considerably. He promoted the invasion of Iraq after being shown fake evidence, just like everyone else was shown. I dont hold any one of them accountable since they didnt know the truth. He didnt really buddy up to Bush, he is close with all the leaders of both partied because he is one of the most senior people in congress. He is responsible for working together with the other senior congressmen in different boards and committees. And how has he tossed his "Maverick straight talker" under the bus? That is still one of the main points he uses, he just doesnt use it as his main distinguishment anymore.

It depends aboard what I am living dear....

If it's a big ship, with broadband internet access and a large swimming pool I probably would not miss anything.

Four dollar steak and eggs at 2:00 in the morning. I've lived in Las Vegas for the last 30 years. I get culture shock just going to L.A. or Phoenix. I don't often get breakfast at 2am, but am oddly comforted by the fact that I *can*.

Do you mean aboard as on a ship, or do you mean abroad as in another land?

If abroad I suppose it would be the small things from my culture. Like breackfast cereal brands.

On ship it would be having places to go for walks.

Aboard a ship? Nothing I guess, I can stop in ports and get others to go get my stuff. Why?

I'm Dutch, have lived in Holland, Japan, England and Romania. I currently live in the USA.

So, I have no clue where home is anyway.

But honestly, the world is so small these days. I can buy Grolsch (Dutch beer) in Florida. I can talk to my grandma online. My Dutch friends are only 7 hours flying away.

Home is where the heart is.

Aboard what? aboard a plane, a ship, a spaceship? Your question is vague.

I've spent much of my life wandering the earth. It has become my way of life so there's really nothing to miss, anymore. Everything I want or need is within easy grasp.

I'm assuming you meant abroad, as in having no permanent place of residency. I guess the security of knowing that I have a home, the comforts (i.e. my own bed, that I have made a nest in), and just the familiarity and memories that having just one safe place can give you over a period of time.
