You're generalising about all of us Christians in regards to our beliefs on homosexuality, but this depends on interpretation, denomination & other important factors.

For example, I'm a devout Christian & I genuinely don't believe that homosexuality is a sin in anyway whatsoever! I arrived at this conclusion once I delved into the historical, religious & cultural context of the six passages in the Holy Bible that address homosexuality, the three passages being the three passages in the Old Testament & the three passages in the New Testament.

When one interprets these six passages through the correct context, it is obvious that homosexuality is not a sin, & I'd like to point out that more & more, even the most Conservative Christians, are realising that homosexuality is not sinful!

We even have open and affirming Churches for all LGBT+ Christians to attend so that they can indulge themselves in the worship & the glory that is our omnibenevolent Lord and Creator God!

Homosexuality and homosexual marriage are one in the same in God's eyes. Let me explain from the bible. In the NT, Jesus Christ restored God’s original standard of monogamy (Mt 5:32; 19:9) Next Jesus listed fornication and adultery among the “wicked things that issue forth from within and defile a man.” (Mark 7:21-23) Many people don't realize that the Greek word for fornication carried a broader meaning than that which is used today. It described all forms of sexual relations outside lawful marriage, including homosexuality. There must be two or more parties (including another consenting human or a beast), whether of the same sex or the opposite sex.

Jesus Christ further showed the extent to which God views fornication by classing it with murder, thievery, wicked reasoning, false testimony, and blasphemy. Even after Jesus went to heaven he addressed the subject. (Mt 15:19, 20; Mr 7:21-23)

(Revelation 21:8) But as for the ... fornicators ... their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur. This means the second death.” Jesus then warned his followers not to tolerate any professed Christian teacher who minimizes the seriousness of fornication.—Revelation 1:1; 2:14, 20.

What Jesus faithful apostles taught regarding homosexuality/fornication (pornea):

(1 Corinthians 6:9) Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality,

(1 Timothy 1:8-11) . . .Now we know that the Law is fine if one applies it properly,  recognizing that law is made, not for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, ungodly and sinners, disloyal and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers,  sexually immoral people, men who practice homosexuality..... and everything else that is in opposition to the wholesome teaching according to the glorious good news of the happy God, with which I was entrusted.

(Romans 1:26, 27) That is why God gave them over to uncontrolled sexual passion, for their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature;  likewise also the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full penalty, which was due for their error.

(Jude 7) In the same manner, Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah and the cities around them also gave themselves over to gross sexual immorality and pursued unnatural fleshly desires; they are placed before us as a warning example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire.

(The name Sodom has become the basis for the word “sodomy,” which usually designates a homosexual practice. Compare Genesis 19:4, 5, 24, 25.)

(Colossians 3:5) Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite (pornea), hurtful desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

(1 Thessalonians 4:3) For this is what God wills, the sanctifying of you, that you abstain from fornication

As imperfect humans, everyone is born with something and some feel this should be a factor with God accepting a sin that has been outlined in the scriptures. While some have mental or physical problems, others who are perhaps rapists and pedophiles also claim they were born with this problems and God should make allowances, but the truth is, we are all accountable to him for what we do. He doesn't change his views, we are all born imperfect and sinful because of our first parents. We don't have to choose to live by it or go with it saying it's not our fault. Simply, God won't expect more of any of us than he knows humans can do.

Did you know that some first century Christian had to fight hard against homosexuality but were successful? True...

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) . . .What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality,....... will inherit God’s kingdom. AND YET THAT IS WHAT SOME OF YOU WERE. . . .

Even Paul had a battle inside himself (not stating what it was) when he said: (Romans 7:21-24) . . .I find, then, this law in my case: that when I wish to do what is right, what is bad is present with me. I really delight in the law of God according to the man I am within, but I behold in my members another law warring against the law of my mind and leading me captive to sin’s law that is in my members. Miserable man that I am! Who will rescue me from the body undergoing this death?

Yes, there are those who have had to overcome pretty big obstacles including homosexuality but with support, the bible shows we all can do this. It's a choice to act on our thoughts.

The fact of the matter, because any sin is a transgression against God laws and when you break God laws, there is a payment, and the payment is eternal death, if you are not saved, by the Lord Jesus Christ our Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior only.
