The blank could be "get into that college" or "hookup with that special person" or "earn a lot of money", etc. etc.

And if you can fill in the blank, how do you know that it isn't a fairy tale? You can look at older people who had similar goals and see if they lived happily ever after.

Living happily ever after is a pipe dream if it depends on anything we experience on this planet.



Only Jesus Christ promises everlasting happiness, and that begins on this planet with salvation from our sin through faith in Jesus Christ and continues on the other side of death for all eternity..
