The quran allows humans to make slaves of other humans & allows male slave owners to have sex with..?

Not according to the strict definition of adultery, but with all its provisions for extra marital relations and "temporary marriage" (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikah_Mut%E2%80%98ah ) it certainly eliminates the need for adultery as we know it.



What they have done is incorporate what we would describe as adultery and prostitution in the West, and given it a "respectable" cover.

"Not so the worshippers, who are steadfast in prayer, who set aside a due portion of their wealth for the beggar and for the deprived, who truly believe in the Day of Reckoning and dread the punishment of their Lord (for none is secure from the punishment of their Lord); who restrain their carnal desire (save with their wives and their slave girls, for these are lawful to them: he that lusts after other than these is a transgressor..."



23:5,6

"...who restrain their carnal desires (except with their wives and slave girls, for these are lawful to them..."



4:24

"And all married women are forbidden unto you save those captives whom your right hand possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. (Muhammad Pickthall's English translation of the Quran).

"Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty;..."

confident devoid of any doubts i individually have considered that and with a large fulfillment. i became so taken into an somewhat good white convert guy who married my daughter's maximum suitable pal and now they lead a much better than chuffed and helpful marriage and have 2 suitable daughters. I even would take this opportunity and ask right here if any of those converts in seek of a muslim spouse to marry. I even have my daughter (born Muslim) 29 years previous from VA who's finding for a robust God-fearing husband to marry.

without marrying them. - now that goes against what islam supposedly teaches. It seems islam makes more exceptions for the men. There were several times in Muhammad's life when he proscribed that people be put to death when they had committed no crime other than "illegal" sexual intercourse.



It's also sad that Islam permits a man to hit his own wife but only if she doesn't do as he asks. The beating must cease if the woman complies with her husband's demands. Beating is also intended to be the last resort, behind verbal abuse and abandonment.

unfortunately slavery is no longer legal anywhere in the world nowadays, if it was i'd sign up as a moslem (i'd just pretend i believed in god!!)

seriously i think you are putting your own slant on the koran, I don't believe islam supports adultery (only have an inkling of this due to the fact that some islamic countries stone adulterers but i may be wrong!!)

There is no comparison between the two, because if a slave woman becomes pregnant, the child belongs to the master and she becomes free when he dies, because she has become the mother of the master’s child (umm walad), and is subject to the same rulings as a wife. And Allaah knows best.
