If you never sin, or disobey God or anything like that your whole life, basically live a sinless life like Jesus did....then...well...

you actually wouldn't need to repent. That's what repentance is for; forgiveness of sins....but see, how can the sins be forgiven if they aren't even there?

It doesn't matter if man doesn't believe you've never sinned, remember the Pharasies (sp) were accusing Jesus of doing things that were wrong all over the place, even going so far as to accuse Jesus of using evil powers to cast out demons.

Since it is impossible, let us do this on the basis of IF.

IF such a person exists, then God would know him very well. And repentance is between man and God. IF that person exists, then God would know that he was Perfect, and had no sin. He would know too that repentance was not needed.

Always it is a discussion that has no value because as many pointed out, none of us, born from Adam's family, would ever qualify.

All Fall Short

Some two thousand years ago, the apostle Paul expressed frustration over the fact that ‘the good that he wished he did not do, but the bad that he did not wish was what he practiced.’ (Romans 7:19) If we are honest, we have to admit that our personal situation is similar. Perhaps we desire to live by the Ten Commandments or by some other standard of conduct, but like it or not, we all fall short. It is not that we deliberately choose to violate a norm, but we are simply weak. What is the explanation? Paul himself gives the answer: “If, now, what I do not wish is what I do, the one working it out is no longer I, but the sin dwelling in me.”—Romans 7:20.

Like Paul, all humanity is afflicted by innate weaknesses—evidence of inherent sin and imperfection. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” said the apostle. What is the cause of this condition? Paul continues: “Through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.”—Romans 3:23; 5:12.

Although many reject the idea that transgression on the part of our first parents alienated us from God and caused us to lose original perfection, this is, indeed, what the Bible teaches. Jesus, by quoting from the first chapters of Genesis as authority, showed that he believed in the account of Adam and Eve.—Genesis 1:27; 2:24; 5:2; Matthew 19:1-5.

One of the pillars of the Bible’s message is that Jesus came to earth to redeem from their sinful condition those exercising faith in him. (John 3:16) Our future life prospects depend on our accepting Jehovah’s means of rescuing appreciative mankind from a predicament over which they have no control. But if we do not have a clear grasp of what sin is from God’s viewpoint, we cannot appreciate the means that he has established to save us from it.

What do you think?

Badwolf, it is a moot point--God said all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Glory in this case means his righteousness. He also says that our very best in goodness is as filthy rags( like used toilet paper). Any time we compare our best effort to God we will always fall short. So yes, since all have sinned those who do not accept Jesus and his sacrifice will be doomed. Your choice.

To believe you have never sinned is a sin in itself. As the Scripture says *if we say we have no sin..the truth is not in us*..*If we confess our sin,He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin*. another Scripture states *there is no man that doeth good and sinneth not* and another which states *for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God*.We are born with sin in our lives.A baby comes into this world throwing a fit.A child knows how to lie and be selfish long before he knows how to obey and share. That is why we must be born again.

Scripture does not lie because it is the word of God. Scripture says we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God. It is difficult for those who have been brought up in a Godly home and who have lived God's way of life from day one to see sin in themselves. Trust me, it's there!

if, as you say, the person 'accepted Jesus', then they DID repent-repentance is an essential part of the act of accepting Christ. if they repented, then they had to have repented of something

good luck trying to find someone who has NEVER sinned; in 52 years i've known some truly remarkable and wonderful people, but i've yet to meet anyone who's lived a perfect life

Jesus (presumably) didn't...then again, when you can show me a person who didn't cry as a baby, could hold his own against philosophers of the time, and spend 40 days in the wilderness without succumbing to temptations, then i can believe he might not have any sins...

We are born with sin, passed down through the generations by our forefather, Adam. Romans 5:12 That is why, just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned. Adam has spread sin and death to all his descendants, bar none.

ALL are born with the Original SIn; the curse brought upon Adam for his disobedience.

Therefore your conditions are impossible.

Ok - answering as if it did happen. The very fact that you are insisting that you have never sinned would be what you would have to repent for. So you would go to heaven, not hell.

All have sinned.

Arte you calling God a liar? Then you are a sinner!!

Your point is self invalidating.

He must be a Christian even if you do not believe him.

As a Christian, he is God's son and will live with his family in God's Home the Heaven.

If he denies you and your family and want to live with his own rules in your home, would you let him?

definite, yet there is plenty extra to it than that. you are able to no longer in basic terms say which you settle for Jesus as your savior as a fashion to be stored. all and sundry can say that, no be counted what faith they're! And why do you Protestants in basic terms think of which you will be the only ones which would be taken as much as Heaven, and not us Catholics? We have faith in an analogous God, you comprehend. Heaven is for everyone; it relatively is our determination whether or no longer we ought to flow there. no person is "stored" by skill of asserting they settle for Christ and the Bible. all of us ought to make an effort to earn our place in Heaven, and that's by skill of heading off sin and going daily to confession. Catholics do no longer confess to the priest. The priest acts as a "stand in" for Jesus who won't be able to bodily be right here with us. yet in the process the priest, Jesus absolves our sins if we are fairly sorry for them. speaking on the subject of the "being stored" element, we are in basic terms stored at Judgment Day, the place Jesus will choose our souls and ascertain if we are able to flow to Heaven or Hell. i've got faith that Catholicism is a mode to get to salvation. Jesus instituted it first, and it went on for centuries in the past Protestantism emerged. As a Catholic, I repent of my sins in confession, i've got faith in Jesus (of direction), and that i'm getting carry of Him in the Eucharist. Catholics do examine the Catholic Bible, yet we've faith in extra desirable than that. I choose you Protestants does no longer think of that we made up all the failings approximately saints, Mary being in Heaven physique and soul, all the different dogmas, etc. The dogmas that have been proclaimed by skill of popes have been first thoroughly examined and then it had to be agreed upon between all that have been in the papacy (you comprehend, all the cardinals, bishops, etc). They did an analogous element whilst canonizing saints. of direction, whilst the papacy examined all of this, in addition they prayed to God asking Him if those/this became fairly the perfect dogma, saint, etc to have faith in. and that's why Catholics immediately have faith and prepare all the Catholic traditions. enable me additionally ingredient out that no Catholic appreciates whilst some Protestant group or human beings tell Catholics that they are going to flow to Hell and that Catholicism is pagan, a cult, and Satanic, because of the fact it relatively is not. If it have been, Catholics does no longer have faith in the Protestant God. God bless!

How can you not repent? Surely every time you pray... you pray, forgive me for my transgressions (forgive us our trespasses etc.). Only Jesus can forgive and only you can ask...I don't understand what other people have to do with that.

Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin causes us to be separated from God which results in spiritual death. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins through His death on the cross so we could by faith in Christ as our Saviour have forgiveness of sins, unity to God, salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Christians are not perfect and whenever we realize we have sinned, we repent!

As long as a human is physically alive on the earth, they can repent (Hebrews 9:27).

Sins are destructive to the soul, they bring curses and they invite and allow evil spirits into our lives. The great thing is that when we sincerely repent (regret that we have sinned and turn completely from sin), God forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We Christians know right from wrong (Hebrews 10:16) but we aren't perfect and although we slip at times, we repent and are cleansed and strengthened (1 John 1:9; Titus 3:5). Hebrews 10:26 tells us that if someone GOES ON deliberately sinning without the desire to repent, it shows they are not saved.

If a person is not repenting of their sins it means they are not undergoing Christian transformation (2 Corinthians 3:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 9:12-14; Titus 3:5) which is evidence they do not have the Holy Spirit abiding within them. If they are without the Holy Spirit who God sends to those who are Christ's (John 14:26) it shows that the person never genuinely made Jesus their Lord and Saviour and therefore is not saved.

Those who say they are Christians but are not repenting of their sins are not Christians and are on the wide road to Hell (Matthew 7:13).

The Lord Jesus commands us to repent:

Revelation 2:5

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Revelation 3:19

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Iniquities (tendencies that cause one to sin) pass down the generation line (Numbers 14:18). When one accepts Lord Jesus as their Saviour, God forgives their sins and removes their iniquities (evil tendencies) in the subsequent transformation process which makes one more and more like Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Hebrews 9:12-14

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Titus 3:5

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

After genuinely accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, ALL sinners (adulterers, those who practice homosexuality, alcoholics, liars, drug addicts, fornicators etc.) will be saved and transformed AS THEY REPENT. Each believer is cleansed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and receives the infilling of the Holy Spirit who renews them.

REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.

If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:

"Dear Jesus,

I am a sinner.

I repent of my sins.

Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood;

come into my heart.

I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior.

Amen"
